How much sense does it make for FS threads to be closed as soon as the payment for the last item in the thread has been made instead of leaving it open for the purchaser to post whether they received the shit they paid for? If it isn't received or some other issue then another thread has to be opened to address it. This results in more clutter than just scanning and closing them AFTER items have been received. Here's an example, thread closed as soon as item was sold instead of waiting until it's been received..................

FS Issue - FS section. Question marks in original post do not denote suggestions. I will point out and ask about shit that doesn't make sense, what the authorities here decide to do is up to them.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
while i wouldnt say immediate closure is appropriate, neither is making another thread...PM the buyer/seller to resolve issues too

Not my first forum, hear ya but out in the open is more effective than PMs that may or may not get attention in those instances. The open thread with the low down does get attention.......

but then you also end up w/ instances like the AP rear bumper thread. could have been handled w/ never seeing a forum

Not familiar with that one but if cleaning up FS is the mission, I'm sure there are many open threads with last posts from many months or years ago that might be better suited for closure. I stumbled accross one of those about a mt bike yesterday for example. Again, y'all rule - I just work within the environment provided here. Just bringing up a question after seeing that thread closed so fast. It's not a big deal, I don't nor have I had a problem with the seller nor do I expect one. Just a habit I have of posting back when items have been received is all. If that's the policy here then I'll just PM as was suggested. Moving on..............

i see what T@co is getting at...and until TW gets itrader or some other form of rating...if people are able to reply to the post that say got the items in good shape fast shipping etc then other people will be able to decide on who to buy from based on other people's experiences

i still see this as a site suggestions thread ;)

also should there be a problem and PMs arent effective...then if the for sale thread is closed...then a whole new thread will need to be created and probably put in the 2nd gen folder

You and I come from a different school of thoughts Taco- Your B/S/T transaction (including offers imho) belong in PMs to start with. Thread pops with a title that interests you- Look at it and PM and offer. Seller takes it or counters. You agree, send money, then work it out if something "non standard" occurs.

There is a thread for "Seller Experiences" so if you have issues or questions then post in there after trying PM's and e-mail.
While I mighta been a bit quick on the draw for the SS lines- It will prevent stupid thread resurrection (like the GD Revenge Thread that should be locked)

Don't trip JT. The item is brand new never opened and you'll be getting a tracking number in a few hours

It's open again. Next time you have a problem- You can PM a mod instead of making a thread about it.

Again, it was a question. I don't have issue with alternatives and to seller, wasn't trippin. Got trackin info all is good. Just struck me as odd that the thread got closed when it still had current activity going on it was all. Please move to suggestion section............
