Here is our truck with the 314 coils, GS59-220 struts and a winch bumper up front, so riding about 2.5" high up front. On the back is the quick ride 2" kit, really testing the limits of the stock leaf springs with the rack, tent, and awning back there. But that's part of the fun...

Truck and setup looks good, deffinetly seems like a cheaper alternative for most. How do these kits handle off the beaten path?

Do you make a 75mm spring with a 700lb spring rate? I have about 180 pounds of bumper and winch up front on 5100's and OME886 coils and I'm sagging quite a bit. Also interested to see if your springs are flat bottom for use on coilovers that adjust from the bottom.

I just sent you a PM. Our 300, 302 and 314 coils are all 586 LBS rate and they support our Tacoma just right. You have to consider spring length and the rate when choosing coils.

Our springs aren't a flat bottom, they have the same pigtail as an OE coil, so you can use our coils on a factory strut, or any other strut that uses an OE style pigtail (5100, OME, Dobinsons, Monroe, etc).

I looked at Dobinson a while back, I want to say it seemed like mostly a South American Market at the time, I didnt recall any Tacoma products previously, good to see them posted here.

Don't think so. They are mostly South American so will be a while before they break in I think.

I'm also in the t4r world and there are quite a few folks running dobinsons over there. Particularly on t4r forum. I've not seen any negative reviews on their stuffs. Everything seems reasonably priced as well. And the interactions ice had with their customer service has been top notch. I'm just wanting a bit of feed back. I may just have to be a guinea pig

I've heard a lot of good things about parabolic leafs and really interested in them. I hear you can get a lot more flex out of them

We cancelled the parabolics for now. They're very difficult to remotely design and get the ride quality correct. The first production samples we had arrive back in the early summer had clearance issues because of the upside down shackle, and the ground clearance was also compromised with the spacing of the leaves. No one wants reduced ground clearance, and the front spring hanger is quite low, if one of the leaves hit a rock or anything, it wouldn't be fun to deal with.

With how busy our 4runner and land cruiser suspension sales were, we held that project off for now, plus we had the medium and heavy load standard type leaf springs that have been working out great for those running them.

We recently made a super heavy load leaf pack for @TorconTRD He should be able to post up his summary of them. He's running the first Dobinsons MRR (Monotube Remote Reservoir) suspension on that truck too after removing his Radflo/Dakar suspension.

Also @POOLGUY is running our full suspension on his 2008 Tacoma work truck, always full of pool gear.

**prototype snorkel is also on Torcon's truck

With the softer longer springs will sag be a problem if I added weight to the front end later?
    These ones-
C59-448 - 75mm (3.0") lift, Stock front end, comfort option, reduced spring rate, 500#

Or if i went with the heavy rate springs will I beat myself to death with a stiff ride without the extra weight in the front? 730#s is a stiff spring.

Hi mate. I wouldn't suggest the 448 coils unless the front will stay with stock weight they would compress fairly easily if you add a bumper and winch. The c59-314 may be a better option for you at 586lb rate. Gotta choose coils based on your build and try to set it all up at the same time.

I would probably only do a low profile bumper insert and winch so only adding about 150lbs.

How much lift should I expect before and after adding the 150lbs with the 314 coils?

I noticed your build has the 448 with a full bumper yet you don’t recommend that. Can you explain further please?

Are the 352 coils too heavy to run comfortably without additional load up front?

I’m only going to be running 265/75r16 tires so I think the 448 at 3” lift would probably be too high without any weight. I’m just concerned the 314 might sit too low after adding the weight. I’m not lifting for large tire clearance. I’m lifting for approach angle and so I can increase rear load capacity. And of course because it looks better with a couple inches.

Went from Old Man Emu with their extra leaf (Heavy Pack) to the Dobinsons Super Heavy rear. I've been super pleased with them.
The ride has been excellent, off road it does very well, and I gained +1" ride height in the rear.
