Here is a link to the ad. The Left rear tire had a plug put in that is why it was off the truck. Tires have 3k miles on them.

    106k miles.
2008 TRD OR 4x4 Double cab with ARE camper shell
    Speedway blue.

I like the truck, I just want to hear yalls opinions on this purchase. What should I worry about, rust, mechanical issues etc? I do see some surface rust on fasteners in the engine compartment. 105k miles seems very low for a 9 year old truck.

Before my 2011 base reg cab I had a 2006 4runner, so the age isn't an issue.

Looks like a pretty clean truck to me!

Wife approves as well, looking to upgrade the reg cab to fit all the babies we are trying for.

    check the frame

not sure on the room for car seats, I think its fine but the passenger seat might have to be up a bit but I'm not sure, mine was out of car seats by the time I got the taco. Good luck, on the truck and the kids

my 2008 had 56,000 when I sold it last year

Kid seats in a Taco is tight period. You can buy the slim versions of any car seat and it's still tight

Mine was in a forward facing car seat before I purchased mine, the pass seat has to be forward for it to fit about 1/3 of the way forward from the rearmost position. YMMV depending on the car seat and child's height. Mine could also fit behind the driver's seat but I am short. Now she is in a booster and that fits fine as well. This is a "mid-sized" truck the rear is like that of a modern "compact car" as far as rear leg room. Every vehicle is different though when it comes to room for car seats my 92 civic hatch fit the rear facing one better than my 05 buick century. That looks really clean and in good shape. Check carfax or similar for accidents and such. That is a little lower than average mileage for that yr truck.

You do know the concept of negotiating, right?

    $16k = sucker

Negotiating isn’t about what something is worth, it’s about what you can leverage

But completely low balling like that is an insult. If I were selling that truck and someone were to offer me 10g I would walk away and not entertain that person anymore. In the end both parties have to be happy with the deal for it to go through. Offer less than you'd be willing to pay but not a complete lowball something that shows a seriousness to your offer and willingness to buy.

Then I’d walk away too...no biggie. Don’t fall in love with a vehicle when you’re looking to buy. Plenty of other opportunities out there

Looks nice....does he have any service records, car fax, any signs of rust or accidents. Will you need new tires, brakes or other wear items?

Lastly, make a genuine offer and do not insult the seller. Do it in person and face to face.

    Good luck

Don't know where you live, but here in Las Vegas for that price is right on the money for the shape and millage this truck has,a Tacoma like the one the O.P is interested in sell here in less than a day,so no aware seller is going too go too far down in price. The sucker comment for $16,000 offer is completly dumb,as the price is $2,000 below what the seller is asking.

How close are you to Chapin? Can you go look at it in person? I'm pretty sure I've seen that truck driving around Columbia

Here in NC is the same way from when I was looking that truck wouldn't last a day unless there was something wrong. I saw many priced higher than that roughly in the same shape as the ad!
I saw older trucks with more mileage priced around that as well.

Amen, Although I probably would of laughed in their face and told them to leave. When I sold my old f350 Dually had a blown trans the guy knew what it was worth and he offered only 500 off what I was asking very fair considering I could of asked more and gotten a little more.

What do you think offering $2,000 less than the asking is,its called NEGOTIATING.Do you even read what you write.
