2nd Gen Tail light BTLM + LED Retrofit

We'll see, but probably unlikely. A lot of time/custom work goes into a set. Mainly doing these to see how creative I could make them. I like doing 1-off stuff.

 

How about 2-off?

 

I like having 1 off on my truck.. if someone came to you with some money and had a design would you build it?

I've re-evaluated it after looking at it tonight in the dark. IT's WAY too bright for a parking//running lamps(much more noticeable VS the Rear ring.
So What I've Determined is they will be on a dimmer circuit but tied into the brake instead. I figured for Daytime use, it will be much more helpful to match the brightness of the 10 OEM Brake LEDS. Which are plenty bright..just very directional;back.
These will give side Brake light viz. And at night,only light up 60% for a nice softer glow to match the Running halo. Then both back on (OEM LED's + these) @ 100% for brake. HEllz Ya

 

All buttoned up and tested.. now to just throw the clear lens on. Diode dynamics PWM inside to dim the side running lights.

 

These are so bad ass!!

My goal was a clean cut line, and clean reseal... so I didn't have to paint a strip along the outside of the lens to hide it.
I think it looks pretty factory

I got a second gen and a problem with the fit of my trousers and the only cure is these tail lights!

 

It's special Chameleon paint..it can be whatever color you want
But really, its just matte black. My kitchen lighting sucks.
