When I open my glovebox there is a weird looking plastic piece (looks like a round black cylinder almost like the knob off a screwdrive) its tiewrapped to the outside wall of my glovebox (on the right had side) not sure what this is. Anyone know?

well, I doubt thats what it is because its not touching anything else but the tie-wrap.....so if thats what it is, then its probably broken

Its probably the adapter for the 7 prong to the 4 prong trailer lights.

I'll take a pic tonight.....doesn't look like an adapter. I think the first guy might of had it right....could be a shock that has broken off ... I'll see when I get home from work.

Mine is dangling too. Maybe I should tie wrap it back on.

Glad I'm not the only one with a dangler. I was going to bring it up to the dealer when I took it in for my next service.

Yep, mine was like that too. It took about 2 minutes to get it lined up so I could reconnect it.

I tried to reconnect mine but the connector towards the back will not hold it. It looks like the male clip doesn't keep enough pressure to hold it.

Same here. It may be missing a pin or something that spreads that connector and keeps it in place. I may take it in before the warranty runs out and make them fix it.
