I'm really been thinking about upgrading to a Gen 3, I have a 2006 V6 4X4 manual and I'm tired of dealing with the clutch in city traffic, I commute to town for work and really thinking about a change. I went to a dealer and looked at new trucks, but thy tried to low ball me on trade.

    Whats a fair price
2006 - 4x4 6 speed V6 with 150,000 miles. New frame replaced 18 months ago and new clutch about 2 weeks ago. it runs good but has a few scratches, but that's normal for a 2006.

    Let me know your thoughts

Can vary alot depending on condition and a few other things my guesstimate would be ~12k- 16k$ but then again Im more familiar with DCSBs and auto trans as thats what I was looking for.

EDIT : 12k would have to be pretty rough shape, yours looks like it would be on the higher side.

Thts true too, IF you want to get the most $ out of it, list it on craigslist for what you want, there are so many people looking for these trucks, that after a couple weeks of people offering $ you should be able to get a good ball park for your area.

You probably paid retail plus some whereas the dealer wants to pay wholesale less some. That difference keeps thier doors open. Not saying you did...but many pass thier upside down position into thier next vehicle.

Start w KBB and NADA values to get a sense. Determine what is fair considering the condition and what you know about the truck. Pick your absolute bottom price. Add $2,000 to it. Get a windshield marker and write your asking price on it. More people will stop knowing where the negotiations start. Agree upon a price and then you’ll know what your truck is really worth. Good luck ...
