Ill keep an eye on this thread, last time i headed out to the Davis mtns, it seemed like i saw quite a few nice tacos out that way. Where are all the midwest tx tacos at?

I know there are some way out west in the el paso area but maybe there are a few in between in the odessa, sonora, roosevelt, junction areas as well?

Ive seen quite a few around here. Just hoping they are on TW and come across this thread. Trent ^ and I have been kicking around getting some business cards with this thread on them and giving them to the tacos we come across.

Yeah if you just keep this thread active and do like what you said there should be some action eventually. The san antonio thread was dying for a while but me and a couple other members started trying to get some others involved and its been coming alive lately surprisingly.

As jadesparrow said, we really want to get this page running as San Antonio being 3.5 hours away and the closest largest city is just too far of a drive for a casual get together. Large events such as toyfest we don’t mind, but 80 bucks in gas and 7 hours on the road isn’t ideal. Plus we do have a fun little orv area out here in the San Angelo area.

I know what you mean on that getting expensive in a hurry. I was trying to make it to weekly meets in SA and the gas alone started to add up quickly. I would definitely try to make it out that way for a meet, especially if yall can make it on a Saturday or maybe on a Friday evening. Are you talking about the twin buttes ORV park or a different one?

Yes I’m referring to twin buttes. It’s not super technical but still a bit fun.

Any idea how a lifted 2wd or a stock 4x4 would hold up? I guess my real question would be do you need sliders or other armor to keep from tearing things up? Because I might be down for this as well

MPG LOL!! Just kidding man :)
You've got some really nice trucks.

Hoping to see them some day

Was telling the wife about the all weather swap you just completed

She's getting close to being on board!

Ha if I don't drive it like an idiot I can average 16.. but where's the fun in that?:burnrubber:

Thanks man! I'm hoping to make it up to an Austin meet eventually, but it always seems like I'm busy the weekend that it's going on.

Definitely do the swap if the misses allows! I'm already wanting to put it in my other truck now too. It's sweet not having to worry about keeping carpet clean, I should've done it a long time ago!

I’m 2x4 on a 6 in. It’s easy and cheaper you need less parts since you don’t have a front diff or axles to deal with.

Ahhh yes i know what you mean 2wds are definitely easier to lift, less stuff to have problems with post lift! Mine is already lifted about 3.5" up front and 1" out back.

I was actually wondering if you knew how a lifted 2wd or stock 4wd would do out at that adventure park we were talking about. Im thinking id like to head out there eventually with you guys but not sure which rig i should bring! Im trying to keep from tearing up the rockers and other stuff until i can afford to put some skids and sliders on them

Here are my trucks just for shits and gigs:taco:

I was in San Angelo for NCO academy years ago...They had some good places we found to eat but not much else around. I did go to a gun show there once, trying to find out from people that lived there and where it was being held was an adventure on its own.
