    Stuff. Also things.
Longfields to replace my bent axle shaft. I’ll have to see if Low Range has them. Thanks for the heads up!

If you can, find a place that has a tw discount or free shipping like some eBay stores. Plug the part number in a few places and maybe you'll get lucky. I saved $100 on headers by buying on eBay. I like the vendors on here, but my wallet likes that bottom dollar lol.

Nope, not me. I've seen write-ups on it though. Doesn't look too hard. I think I'd choose the tack weld technique over the rolled steel pin so in case I get in an accident the steering wheel doesn't crush my chest.

Tack welding isn't too bad. What's the steering column mod, again?

Search it up - the telescoping shafts in the steering column develop play where they interlock. This joins them together.

So how tight a squeeze is the tundra brake kit on 16" scs rims? Possible?

Don't know about these rims specifically, but everything I have read says that there is about .5 inches of clearance with 16 inch rims

SCS rims will clear fine on all styles. They're designed for Toyota's so everything will clear

The way I figure, you're in a ~20 yr old truck. If you get in an accident that bad, you're in for a bad time anyways. Also, I looked into the numbers, and head-on collisions only account for 2% of all crashes. I also don't know how to weld or have any friends that weld. So I went YOLO on that roll pin.

I think anyone can put down a tack weld to be fair

Yeah, probably. It doesn't look hard. And I know if I keep modding my truck, I'll need to learn eventually. I looked into buying a harbor freight cheapie, but heard that it's better to buy a used name brand welder, and then realized I'd need 220 in my garage for it, and put it on the 'dream garage' list.

In the end, I decided a drill bit and roll pin would be cheaper and easier.

Lowrange usually has the best prices I have found and now with free shipping. Make sure you order the right axle shafts. For my E locker housing with abs pockets they said the longfield rear shafts wont work and have to order the Yukon cut to fit shafts. And just because you don't have abs in the rear doesn't mean your rear axle isn't abs.
I would definitely call to make sure.

These will NOT work in abs housing

But these will. Part #YA WT8-30-29.0. And they say they work with or without abs

Yeah my truck isn't ABS but I have the ABS ring. I would definitely check prior to saying you don't have ABS because you don't have the box upfront or whatever it is

I'm a firefighter and have seen enough gnarly front end collisions where the driver died so I guess I have a different perspective than you. The steering wheel not giving way could be the difference between injury and death. Also, you don't need to know how to weld or have a friend that welds. You could have brought it to a muffler shop and asked them to tack weld it for you. They'd probably charge you $20.

Here is a little thing I did when I was board. I have gray interior and the shifter looked really dirty. In stead of cleaning it I got a black one from the wreaking yard. While changing it out I decided to blend them together. It took a little time, but what the hell, right. Here it is.DSC00350.jpg

    Somebody's :jellydance:

I love the idea and the look of projectors, but I will not be buying some unless they somehow become more affordable - for me the price outweighs the benefit. :)

I been had these and had already installed them when i was waiting for parts from gunny. I tried to install some LED D2S bulbs but guess what, THE OPENING WHERE THE FILAMENT GOES INSIDE THE PROJECTOR BOWL WAS ONLY SMALL ENOUGH FOR THE HID FILAMENT :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:
