nice. Love zoas. My tanks at work. Someday when I set up a home tank again, im going to rely on people like you for corals etc. There is no reason to spend the ridiculous money that the stores charge. There is always somebody on CL getting rid of a tank, or selling coral for cheap. Some people will even just give you stuff for free. The saltwater community is pretty cool.

I've got 90% of what's in this tank from my local reefing group. I grow zoas out frag them and share / trade with here its all about hooking up each other in this expensive ass hobby. All these zoas and acans are, going to a buddy to hold for me until I'm ready to,start another tank

i see you like the gyres! I saw some youtube videos with them, they look neat. I have a vortech on mine. Its been working nonstop, problem free for over 3 years now. Im pretty happy with it. I also went bare bottom. Ill never have a sand bed again after trying this tank. The days of dealing with sandstorms are over.

That I do I run 3 in this tank and they keep everything moving great. My bed is large chunk crushed coral so it thankfully doesn't move much.

do you have coralline in your tank? For some reason im having a hard time getting it going. Corals, including sps grow great, so i know my calcium etc is good. Its strange. Im increasing flow and am going to run some gfo for a while. I have a bit of hair algae, so i might have phosphates hindering the coralline.

I just upgraded to the 210g when I moved in late August. I have a few spots popping up on the back glass as well as the new rock scape I added but it hasn't been that long to see much of anything. I added some large pieces to the new display that are completely white that I'm seeing spots of coralline on so in due time.

I run reactors of GFO and carbon I do like a little phosphates as the LPS does great. It's mainly a LPS/softy tank with jut a few SPS in the tank.

This was my 90g just before the move everything went into the 210.

Here is my 75, nothing big, just some Jacks, Cons, and a Golden Nugget Pleco. Had tanks for years, always in the living room. Real nice to watch and listen too.

i used to have a nice cichlid tank. I liked how colorful they were for a freshwater fish. Then I got into saltwater, and i knew i'd never do fresh again. Ive got it down very well now thankfully. There is so much you can screw up with these tanks. 20171109_202313.jpg

Yes, would love a saltwater tank but all I’ve ever had has been fresh and I’m just now venturing into canister filters and sand bottom. I like the ease of care for the cichlids and I don’t even think I can get saltwater fish of any variety within 100 miles of me.

Subbed. Miss my tank I had back in Hawaii. Once I get a new place I'm for sure getting a new tank(s). Used to have a 55 gallon with a friend I lived with, with a variety of fish and then a 30 gallon when I moved with some barbs (2 pandas, 4 tigers, 2 platinums), couple bala sharks, and my favorite fish ever, a leopard pleco pictured below when he was just a baby
