@Noelie84 Hmm, the other dealer kind of near me has F-150s on their website and they immediately have them knocked down about $11k from MSRP. The other dealers have them listed with only a few thousand off MSRP. I feel like that would help with haggling.

They only have supercrews with the specs I'd want at the moment, though. MSRP on those is around $48k, they have them listed at $37k. The only supercabs they have are just XLs.

This time of year they'll probably be in the mood to haggle, too. Trying to boost their #'s before the end of the year.

I kind of wanted to wait until spring because I hate to buy a new truck and subject it to a New England winter immediately. Plus I'd have hoarded more money to throw at it by then. Might have to take a ride out there one weekend and see what they look like in person. Maybe that'll sway me to do it earlier.

You'll get a better deal now while they're clearing out the 2017s. They have to turn them to earn the 2018s

This might not work if they have already missed their goals! Better to get them now while they still think they have a chance

I bought two last night! I'm glad others are learning from my mistake!

Yeah the one I bought for in the cab does not had the hose, but I'm planning on buying a 5lb one with a hose for the bed. Just have to figure out how to mount it first!

Thanks for that post! Glad to hear no laws are changing. What's the deal with that "Aftermarket Lighting" bullet point though? Not sure what that means.
Also I'm very glad to hear my truck should still pass with the lift! Woo!

I'm very glad to hear this! Thanks!

Yeah the hose is an absolute must for a truck the tiny cans will work for an engine bay and maybe some other spots but if it's ever serious I.e. Brakes, fuel. You need the hose to get up in there

Wow! That sounds like great idea. Vintage style WWII nose art. Maybe once the newness wears off I'll go there.

I miss the LL Bean editions. Some coworkers and I were having this discussion the other day. They used to have so many amazing weird models.

Like the Legacy SUS (Outback cladding and ride height, Legacy body)

I miss the turbo Baja too... And a manual Forester XT... And the Outback XT... And the Legacy wagon... And the Legacy GT... And the STI hatch... And the Impreza Outback Sport... And and and... :pout:

The Crosstrek comes standard with a 6 speed manual actually. And anyone who's anyone gets a WRX.. Noob.

Tell your wife if she doesn't want to buy an Outback from me, Imma make you get a divorce :smack:

The Crosstrek having a manual does me a lot of good if I want an Impreza.
And the WRX fits into the 'stupidly expensive' category of Imprezas.

You must be a terrible salesman.

My mom has an Outback Sedan. It's pretty neat. Sits really high for a sedan.

I always wanted an Outback XT. Those are awesome!

Look bitch, the Crosstrek is built off the Impreza hatch body anyway, plus the added benefit of 8.7" of ground clearance. Base and premium also come with a 6MT standard. So, yes, it does do you pretty good.

And the WRX fits into a reasonable price range for a 6 speed, AWD, turbo sedan. They can be had for $26-27,000.

The Outback XT is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Basically an STI motor in a family station wagon lol.

And had a small adventure in home ownership. Dishwasher shit the bed last weekend. Which sucked cause we run it every night with the 2 Giblets and all their little lunch containers, bottles and such. Got the new one delivered this morning.

A friend used to have one with the 5MT in it. He gave it a new tune and used to love pulling up next to WRXs and watching the expression on their face when they find out the Outback wagon was faster.

My '08 3.0R was no slouch itself. Not great off the line, but would move really well to pass at highway speeds.

All this Subbie talk is really making me miss mine. :(

Used to have a 2001 2.5RS, two door, that I had done a few things to, and then one faithful day, driving to a job interview the day after a snowstorm, taking a corner nice and slow, I hit some ice and slush and away it went. Lost control, slid into the other lane, a car was coming and t-boned me, and the insurance totaled it. Cried like a little bitch I did. I LOVED that car.
