Yeah I have the creaking

 

Mine just started the Creaking 2 days ago at 4200 miles

 

So, I took off in 2nd today and as it hit around 10 mph I felt a lurch and quite a bit of torque kicked in. What the heck was that?

 

SR 5MT officially dead for 2018 MY.

 

They're no longer offering the SR package with the 5 speed now?!

 

Model 7513 - SR with 5MT has been discontinued.

 

Yes, mine creaks depending on the weather. Seems to be less than like 60 degrees.

That sucks, the 4 cylinder 5 speed was awesome. But I am not surprised.

 

Actually, I am surprised. Usually you get MT options on the base models, if at all. It is weird that Toyota is going the exact opposite route with the MT on the upper trims.

 

I think the manual will disappear, I understand what your saying and agree. But again am not surprised to see it go.

I'll hang on to mine as long as possible.

 

That is the way that all companies that offer manuals, only available on Base Models or Loaded Models with nothing in between

that truth was fully revealed when i bought my Tacoma. the mission was simple: buy the perfect MT vehicle for me. then i started looking and found the truth quickly. but hey i scored anyway.

 

I'm trying a bit too hard to think of a loaded car / truck that comes with a MT other than the GT350 and GT3RS?

Not trying to split hairs, but I'd call those special editions?

 

I'm trying to think of the manuals that are available, and they are very few and far between particularly trucks.

Yes, and a loaded out Dodge Ram, and base model 2wd Colorado

 

When shopping for my truck, I stopped at the Chevy dealership, talked to a sales guy, great convo until I said I wanted manual trans. He said availabile but good luck getting one. I left.

 

5AT only in the Pro-4X KingCab 4x4.

 

yeah, that loaded Ram is a serious hauler. it's like $60k, massive diesel, and a MT. long bed only iirc.
