It's running right now and I'm working about 20 for away at the kitchen island and can barely hear it pretty awesome

 

The 3.0 and 3.6's are great motors too. I just love having a turbo.

I really wanted to WRX swap my Impreza Outback Sport 2.2 5mt, but you know... STI is life.

 

Thank you sir. I was about 20-21 when I had it, and had the same exact "hope" as you. If I had kept that car long enough, it most likely would have become reality at some point, to drop a WRX motor into it. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Also, the STI does have a lot of room for the kid things, and fits 2 child seats in the back quite comfortably.... JUST SAYIN..

Lower mpg, slower acceleration, lots more plastic cladding to trap salt against the body panels, $2000 more before you add any options, worse handling...what's not to love for somebody looking at an Impreza?

As for the WRX, nearly 30 large is NOT a reasonable price for a compact sedan, even if it does have a turbo, AWD, & a ghey wing. Also, unless I'm mistaken, it's no longer offered as a 5 door hatch, which was one of my requirements in the first place.

WRX doesn't have a wing, just a lip on the trunk. And you can get into one for the $26-27k price. Idk where you're getting 30...

I paid $32,500 for my STI. Sticker was close to $37,000.... hehe

And the sport model begins at $22,595 for a hatch. A totally stripped 4 door is $19,400. What's the big deal?
