So It was finally time to ditch the Toyota leaf pack, after spending hours of looking at different packs I came to the conclusion to go with Dakars. I drive around with little to no extra weight at this point so I decided to go with the Medium Duty EL095R pack. With that I was time for longer shocks so 5125s. Since I was taking the rear apart I figured it was time for a flip kit as well.

As far as the front goes I am still rolling with the 5100 and the 1/6 Eibach coils with taco lean spacer. I may go with a 1/2 inch driver 1/4 spacer down the road to get another .5 inch lift in the front, but i like some rake.

Prior to the dakars my rear lift was TSB toyota springs with the wheeler's 3 leaf ALL with super bumps. The ride was good but it sags when i towed the boat, good thing for the super bumps.

So install day came and I convinced my wife to take some photos, I haven't figured out what that is going to cost me yet but oh well. The new Dakar packs don't come with front bushing so make sure you order enough.

Was able to remove the supper bump from the old mount and move them to the new flipkit setup from wheeler's.

Spring install was easy now came the time to get the new shocks mounted up, top nut was easy since I could hold the shock body while I tighten the nut.

Than came the lower mount even after bending the lower mount it was still not going in, so a little grind action on the bushing and it slipped right in, granted i had to bent the hell out of the mount on both sides.

The top stackup was a little different than stock but from the picture the the truck mount would go between the rubber bushings.

After that got the u bolts torqued down.

After I got everything torqued i noticed that one of the spring isolators had fell apart in shipping, working with Wheelers on that but just something to look out for. Other than that they held up pretty good in shipment.

Overall so far I am pleased with the new version of the Dakars, the ride it good, stiffer than stock but handles loads well. So far I have hauled 500 lbs of lumber around and a half yard of gravel.

After Photo. At about 24.5" hub to fender, solid 2.5 inches of lift over stock in the rear.

Still need to add photo of spacer to lift the rear brake line bracket, since I am too lazy to do extended brake lines yet.

And I need to fix the ongoing issues of takeoff shutter, going to try 3 degree shims since I left them out. Although I was never able to eliminate the shutter with the previous lift It is just more noticeable now.

Good to hear! Planning to install this same leaf pack this week

Good luck! Make sure to grease the bushing in the front good, I had an initial squeak and had to grease the outside of the bushing where it makes contact with the frame and that fixed it.

Got my replacement spring isolators from ARB the other day too, thanks to Josh and Kelly at Wheelers Offroad.

On a side note I tried 2.5 degree shims and that made vibration worse and end up removing them shortly after. Best solution to my vibration is a CB drop of .5 inches and its still there.

So far I'm still happy with the new springs, pulled the boat the other day and the ride was smooth. Definitely and improvement over the stock pack with the 3 leaf AAL. Still loving my wheelers superbumps, even hauling 1500lbs of gravel the ride is smooth.

A little update on my ELO95R pack, over the weekend i pulled the large overload out since I have been fighting with drive line vibration that no shim or CB spacer could fix. Was almost ready to get a one piece but didn't want to limit myself speed wise. With the overload out it dropped about an inch and is a little softer. Vibration is way better without doing anything. Overall it rides great. Not sure on how much load capability i have sacrificed yet but i do have the super bumps that will help.

Thanks for all your troubleshooting. It's helping with my decisions. I have very minor shutter at take off, and it all seems real noticable when I'm turning the wheel. A straight take off it's not there. No other vibrations present. Think I'm going to leave it alone for now, if anything I'll do the cb drop.

Once I have something else for a daily driver I plan to go with the one piece drive shaft and bigger lift. From what i have read even stock trucks have weird vibration, I don't think a little vibration will hurt anything.

Do you have an update? What is your load capacity now?

    Wow, old thread bump.

I've been running EL095R's with the large overload removed, TRD Baja Bilstein's with remote reservoirs (pretty much same as Pro), and Timbren Active Off-road Bumps with U bolt flip. I've been running the springs for the last 2 years.

Towing and load capacity has greatly improved. On my '14 DCSB I've had NO vibes or issues with 74k current miles. If I need more capacity or want to add a cap later, I can put the overload back in to account for the weight should I sag. Honestly it's the perfect leaf setup for anyone looking for 3" and under. With the overload removed it's perfect for anyone running a factory PRO suspension lift. I've towed landscape trailers tucking the wheels full of dirt, old school boat trailers modified to haul drift cars, or just a bed loaded down with 300-500lbs of fertilizer/lime. Night and day difference from before with stock and a 3 leaf AAL.

Check my build thread, I detailed it all there.
