Did they do away with the wing? Or is it just the STI's that get one now?
A WRX premium has an MSRP of just under $30k (like $29,995 or something stupid like that) before you add any extra accessories or options.

Base Crosstrek is listed at just under $22k on Subaru's website, which is where the Premium Impreza's start (what I'd have been looking at). The base Impreza is something like $3500 less at $18.5

No big deal, since I've already opted for a truck instead of a scoob, bought it, and have been driving it for a year. I'm just winding you up.

This one was 13 years old. And it needed a new control panel, so for that price it was better to just get a new one.

Though we went in think we'd just get a regular old lower end dishwasher. And ended up getting a higher end one. Just opening and closing this one vs a regular Whirlpool etc. Was like opening the door of a Mercedes vs a Kia.

$30k doesn't sound horrible for a compact, unless you're pricing out something small like a Geo. My compact cars from 17 years ago were $25k+, naturally aspirated.

Got to pay off the truck first, then need to hide it so I get to keep it in the divorce.

VT got real strict this year on inspections. pictures of sticker, vehicle in the inspection bay, vehicle number, registration card, insurance card, door frame with all the information on it,
if your vehicle dose not pass picture of the failed part. also if you fail it is in the system so you can't just go to another inspection station and hope they don't look there. And of course the price has doubled.....someone has to pay for it all.

We have a Subaru Forester in the 13 variety. Love the car itself as compared to the Ford Explorers i frequently drive (15-18 versions) Subaru is decent to drive no blind spots, tits in the snow. It goes where I want it even did some washed out roads with minor rocker bumping. I like the open spartan interior. We have a limited with sunroof and there is not an over abundance of buttons and electronic crap. (F*ck off Ford Explorer) traction control doesn’t seem to neuter launching from dirt to pavement. When the Fords initiate traction control you literally need to wait 5+ seconds before the vehicle will start to accelerate again.

My issues... new motor at 90k. (Under warranty motor burned oil). CV shafts wore out fast. My biggest complaint is High speed highway vibrations and hood buffering seem to be bad on The Forester. WTF is it a brick or what?Anything greater than 80MPH apparent wind the hood and front bumper flutters enough you can feel it harshly in the steering wheel. Kind of like how I would imagine a vibrator driving. The Ford explorers go 120+ apparent without any shakes or shimmy’s.

I think compared to most newer vehicles the Subaru’s are more driver oriented and practical than most vehicles if you drive it like a normal person. Can’t say anything about the WRX hatches.

My mom just got an '18 Impreza- 'er, I mean Crosstrek. She likes it and it's a great car but you certainly know it's a Subaru when you are in it! Sounds like one and feels like one. I'm not saying that is a bad thing but honestly, I think you all can figure out what I mean by that.

My Trans Am window sticker was 30k. Before that I had a Grand Am (2 actually). Those ranged from about 19k to 24k.

I had to unfollow a bunch of those pages. 2000 word captions bugged the shit out of me not to mentioned the retardedness of the "build"

I wish you could not see individuals. I don't follow him, but he popped up in the search tab when I was scrolling though.

Those were more mid-size cars for that era, weren't they? I can remember pricing Subarus in the early 2000's for like $15k

And since I only had around $8k to spend, I ended up with something else.
