Interested in how the install goes. I've been eyeballing their wrap-around rear bumper. Which one did you order?

All elocker axles are abs axles. Regardless of if the truck is equipped for it or not. Its the 8.4'' housing you have to be careful of.

I'd rather spend some money on good 96-97 headlights made by ARB - I have that option since all I need is a cheapie grill. Then I can put the other $4-500 into led trail lighting.

When all I had was my 2nd gen I was going to make some for myself for $350 or so.

Same here. I had to replace a knuckle once and used an ABS capable knuckle. There's a spacer that takes the place of the speed ring. The crackhead that pressed my new bearings said I didn't need it. I did. I needed it or the speed ring.

I don't know if the axle would be this way. But I'd source another axle housing before getting special cut and milled shafts.

my retros are well worth the cost over sealed beams imo. using the 55watt hid kit ( not recommended for heat reasons) the light output is amazing.

Right on. The other reason I'm sticking with halogens is because I travel in a lot of rural areas - I don't want to be trying to source parts in the middle of nowhere that aren't available. My led pod fog lights on my 2nd gen were more than enough light on their own. When I finish what I'm planning on my first gen for offroad lighting I don't think I'll ever have a night - it'll always look like high noon lol. Not a big deal - I just have other priorities.

What are your offroad light plans? I was checking out adding rock lights all around the other day.

Light bar somewhere up top - probably removable since I live in the city and things go missing like that. I'll probably start out over the windshield and then after I build my roofrack / bed rack I'll move it to the back of the cab. Probably 4 pods and maybe a smaller amber bar on the bumper.

It's supposed to help with axle wrap. There is a thread on here somewhere about it
