That smacks of an excuse, Frank. If that were the case you could have just bowed out like Spencer did in the semi-final round. After all it's much more fun to stand around watching then it is to participate (read that sarcastically). :p

Modded it so much it turned into a 4Runner
I got bound up going down into the washout. I have to get my caster adjusted further forward. The alignment shops around here just won't do it right.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
Spotting is a big thing too. I could have got many of them through most of the obstacles with minor adjustments to their line. I tend to understand vehicle dynamics and weight transfer very well.

You are an excellent spotter. In normal circumstances (meaning without the forward progress rule), I think a lot of folks could have reset, made a minor adjustment and overcome the challenge, either on their own, or definitely with your spotting Guy.

The challenge would have been interesting to see who the winner would have been if @allenfab and @Taco No Baka didn't participate.

The weight of our trucks and being a stock 60 is pretty damn strong compared to a mild built 44. Axle shafts are expensive and a d60 superduty axle has 35 spline shafts

Wait, what? Why me? There's nothing that special about the OGT. I probably have less money in my suspension than anyone who isn't basically stock--it's just an OME 3" kit with Dakars and a custom rear shock mount setup by @allenfab with only 10" travel 5125s. I'm still IFS (which I break all the time) with stock upper and lower control arms, stock bumpers, and a rock anchor receiver hitch. My approach and departure angles are terrible compared to the 2nd and 3rd Gens. Sure I have front and rear lockers, but so do all the TRD ORs more or less. Really, the only thing I have that nobody else (except Todd now) has is the LTBs. So it's not like the OGT is intrinsically superior to anyone else's rig.

We all don’t have lockers and 4wd. Most of us pay monthly to have our truck. Once my truck is more capable it’s on. You just try stuff others don’t want to mess up their rig on.

Yeah, but there are guys like Frank, Brian, and (I think) Dom, that have 4WD and are effectively locked front and rear and clearly have no problems beating the snot out of their trucks (I mean, seriously, have you seen Frank's truck? He has way more dents than I do). Just trying to figure out why I got singled out with Todd like nobody else can compete with me. It's a nice ego stroke that John thinks the OGT is up there on another level with Todd, but it's really not...it's not even really on the same level as Frank, Brian, and a few others with TRD ORs on 35s, fancy UCAs, high clearance bumpers, and Chevy 63s with 14" shocks.

It's a fair point that there are guys out there that won't try some of the stuff I will because they, understandably, don't want to take the risk with a turck they are making payments on, but that doesn't go for everybody. ;)
