Completely stock here... I have no "buts" with 1.02C. If development stopped here I would be completely satisfied with my purchase. If 1.03 brings a flatter torque curve (it looks like it will) and a slight increase in power, It's a bonus. The last thing on my list that would be a "but" is the 87 tune, but that is just days away at this point. The re-check dyno visit in a month or so on the same truck may give us another release with a little bit better improvement too.

I know it seems like a lot of $, but seriously, don't suffer with the stock tune. Make the truck what Toyota should have made it from the factory. You just spent $30+k on your manual transmission truck, $800 to make it work the way it should isn't that much when all is said and done. Find yourself $67/month in your budget for the next year and never look back.

same. no buts. if you're really keeping up with your lurking you'll find plenty of no-buts reports. would buy again even if dev stopped here. it's exactly what i was looking for since i got the truck last December. if it gets more developed from here i go from really happy to really happier. the only question for you, since you're in an MT, is which ecu version do have? the first version appeared to have a poor "learning" response to 1.02 and it seemed to unlearn the tune or something. the more recent 2 versions of the ecu didn't appear to have any poor or odd reaction but that's for Mat to know since I'm speculating from out here. I'm not aware of anyone on the latest ecu 04B12 who has complained, but maybe there is somewhere?

there are some holdouts looking for specific things like DFCO and the like but i don't think they are complaining about a problem. they are waiting for a more finalized version with all the possible features. we don't have an answer yet to DFCO etc. so the may be more to come if that's what you're waiting on.

I'm using OBD Fusion IOS version, and I bought the Toyota specific add-on :anonymous:

    -Injector Time Cylinder #1 (microseconds)
    - Injection timing cylinder #1 (deg)
    - Injection volume (%)
    - Injection volume cylinder #1 (mL)
    - Injector Cylinder #1, Port (microseconds)

There are 8 PIDS for Exhaust VVT, and 10 for intake VVT.

This is great stuff, but unfortunately I think my Carista BT dongle is a DUD - drops connection intermittently, and the only way to reset is to pull it from the OBD port and plug back in :annoyed:.

Exchange it if you can, mine works like a charm and has never disconnected on me and I’ve probably driven close to 8k miles with it on and logging

Is there a way to figure out your ECU version without some fancy software?

There is only one ECU. There are different versions of the "calibration".

It makes basically zero difference. You can ask your dealer to flash the newest calibration file if you want to.

I have been gone a few days (since this new thread was started), is there a release date for this tune yet? I have no issues with 1.02c but this upgrade sounds fantastic.

Here's one of the dashboards thats up on my phone mounted to the dash most drives... Takes some work (I use OBD Fusion on iPhone) to configure with the custom PIDs and all, but works like a charm.

Everyone who has their kits and has been running our other maps get updated as maps released.
I have not released 1.03 yet but will soon.

going as fast as I am able to. Part of the delay is the dongles that came to me on this next batch were not presetup so I am setting them up before shipping so there is no hassle or confusion at the other end.

Mat may have missed that you have an A/T.. Latest version for you is 1.02C Shift A/B/C.
1.03 is for M/T only AFAIK.

And um, this is the M/T thread :)

The 1.03 release is targeted to Manual Transmission trucks, 1.02c (with the 6 files for 3 shift settings + 91 and 87 octane options) is the current and only planned AT update at this time until Mat gets the other platforms squared away. The wheel/pedal vibes aren't shift related - but the smoothness in VVT/intake/exhaust/throttle mapping smooths out the vibes. You'll be happy

Same software that I use with the Carista dongle. Here's my first attempt at setting up a 4WD diagnostic "at a glance". I plan to add in more indicators for the locker and such later. There are soooo many PIDS :)
