Like I said I was not gung ho on winning that challenge. The line I took was just a little too risky lol. I had the chance to make my own line and just wanted to knock someone off but took a crappy line

I don't get why you weren't. Win or lose, that was the most fun I had all weekend. :D

The point wasn't really why you didn't hang in there longer, it was just why I got singled out with Todd as someone nobody could compete with when clearly there are guys like you with superior setups and just as big a stones if not bigger that didn't get mentioned.

you were at the back of the line and didn't have to make your own ;)

That was not the most fun for me though, most fun for me is hanging out at camp and exploring the caves

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
I think the shorter wheel base of the OGT and Allen's truck were big factors. Lee if you bobbed your bed and got ride of the front bumper cover it would have done even better.

The caves were rad man. The trail rides were fun for sure but I'd have to agree that hanging out over drinks/caves/food was the great part. Personally I thought this meet was just all around more than than February. More people hanging out at camp, not as much stop-and-go on the trail rides, competitions. 'Twas a blast

Ultimately it's like my kids football team, as long as everyone had fun and nobody got hurt winning or losing is secondary.

But, it's still fun to have bragging rights, they're 4 and 0 by the way!

1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
Frank wheels his truck and has car accident damage along with actual rock damage from out of state. Most of us 3rd gen trucks Pay 400 and up a month. If I didn’t have 20k left and had a second vehicle to drive if I broke my shit I wouldn’t care. I’ve done stuff out there that some of the 4x4s do and did it easier because of my setup. It boils down to having money to fix it and needing to drive to work Monday morning for me. You don’t daily yours and Todd don’t either. I say that plays a lot into it Just my opinion. Your truck and his is also locked front and rear. Most of the 4x4s out there have a open diff and when flexed our they only have 2wd anyways. One front and one rear. Both of you have all 4 pulling.

It's healing. I'll post some links to pictures. I won't post the pictures themselves to give people the option to see them or not.

I think you’re selling yourself a bit short here. Our front lockers are what’s going to make the biggest difference in our favor. Even if we had similar tires to the rest of the field, the lockers would have pushed us further regardless.

I’ll always say that lockers, front and rear, are the best investment for off-roading.

I'm on the other side of the equation for the out of state stuff. I can't afford it and I for sure can't afford to get the OGT home when (not if) I broke it out of state.

As for your truck, I'm not sure what you're running for a diff these days, but if you put a locker of some sort in it, you could pretty much own Citrus. If nothing else, that last round in the Crack on Saturday proves what a 2WD with a locker can achieve. I'm still a little in awe that we did that crazy shit in 2WD successfully.

I was starting to think I may have pissed in your Wheaties or something.

So basically your position as to why I was included on the list with Todd (which again, I view as a big honor) is because Todd has a rig made of awesome and I have the least Fold-Up-Chair-Kicks given. I do recall telling someone right before I got in the truck before the last round "Can't never tried."

I agree that ATRAC or Crawl Control or whatever isn't as effective as an actual locker. On the other hand, our front lockers didn't do a damn thing for us on that last run. :fistbump:

No your good. Not hurt by anything really. You asked and I explained my thought. You both have locked rigs that alone makes your rigs in my opinion more capable then the rest.

I’m open diff 2wd on stock gears and 35s
