You might want to look at some of the PayPal competitors that came up after they dropped all the gun business.

Funds were collected - influx got a flag raised, PayPal froze the account to investigate the transactions. They weren't comfortable with the terms of sale so their buyer protection warranty would only cover if product was received within 21 days. This isn't possible.

They issued refunds and kept the account frozen.

Some refunds were then re-sent to Docloco's PP as it is a business account with no history of issues, then his account was also flagged, and apparently closed.




No issue with vendor or OP/organizer. Dealings with China are complicated, and PayPal wanted no part of it and laid the hammer down. All funds should be returning to their source accounts, but so far as I understand, PayPal is manipulating that now, not @docloco or @Mrguitarguy01 since their accounts are frozen.

 

Jesus....let this be a lesson for all of us going forward.

I also put 'gun friendly paypal competitors' into Google and got a bunch of hits. Depends on exactly what you need.

 

So, way back in the beginning a vendor hit me up (actually posted on the forum) saying and they could get us these tents. We could pick them up from Cali $600. I am speaking to them and seeing what we can work out.

I think its safe to say opinions have been swayed. The question is now do we want to have a Sunday Campers tent, or make a group decision on what brand model.

I think a starting point for this conversation is your absolute maximum dollar amount for a tent, and what options that should include (annex, skyroof etc).

I'm in up to $700 with annex.

 

I think you need to consider a new thread, or somehow making this new idea not be halfway down on page 106.

 

That website is kinda questionable to read and seems to be sales driven.

The only way to reduce credit card processing fees/rates is to increase your sales volume - processing actually has a wholesale cost.

I'd bet he's either working for those companies, or is at least making income off that website through other means besides selling that useless book for $40.

Welp honestly, at this point. I think I am out.

Paypal shut down the GB, then they shut down Doc's account. I applaud the effort by both OP and Doc, but reality is, at this time, going forward I think this needs to be dead for now. OP, I think you should stay in contact with Sunday Campers and try and work a way around and come back at a later date with the group buy and a proper way to pay.

Sounds like some refunds are late or behind, possibly a PayPal problem not the current holders of the cash.

 

3/4 of the way down.

 

All the money in my account has been refunded. It should take 3-5 days if it wasnt immediate. If in 3-5 days (Friday end of day) it is not back in your account, PM me and we will call Paypal.

As far as Docloco, he is refunding the shipping. The other amount has been refunded.
