    ***SOLD***

I will be putting my truck up for sale in mid December, but I thought I'd float a preview here now for potential buyers and update it later!

    2000 Tacoma V6 SR5 TRD 4x4 Access Cab: $5000
225k miles; Manual transmission; E-Locker; Good AC

    sell2_zps8mvrnuv5_a93fc9732c0ad3432952ec4bff97ba2f27eb31d5.jpg

I bought this NEW in 1999, single owner. This truck is well used and it shows. It's a little rough around the edges, but it is a strong ready to use truck. I have kept it in very good mechanical shape, replacing parts with OEM or better quality. If you need a very tough truck for outdoor adventure or as a project, then this is for you… but it is OK as a daily driver as well. I usually drive it to work once a week and take it on an outdoor trip maybe once every month or so.

Some gear: Old Man Emu front (881) springs with Daystar spacers and rear Dakar springs. OME front shocks with Rough Country rear shocks. Total lift about 2.75”. Camburg upper control arms, 33” BFG All terrains with 65% tread and two full size spares, welded Trail Gear sliders, All Pro front bumper and modified All Pro skids, Custom swing-out rear bumper. Optional (no extra cost) is a worn out shell with custom roof rack and KC lights.

    sell4_zps5vqr5tpz_77256bd7c5532d4ccdf6149fb5d7451e885585aa.jpg

Known issues: Moderate body damage behind passenger door, some body damage near driver brake light, and various other small scrapes and scratches. Driver door armrest is cracked. Air box has a crack (temporarily “fixed”). Outside passenger door handle does not work but I'll probably replace soon. Other minor cosmetic quirks. This truck has earned its miles, but it’s solid. No vibrations. All fluids are fresh. The steering rack was replaced in 2014 with lifetime warranty. New brakes and rebuilt/balanced rear driveshaft in 2015. New valve cover gasket/spark wires, etc in 2016. New battery. Clutch was replaced at 165k miles and timing belt was done at 140k miles.

I never thought I’d sell (always thought I’d keep it as a project vehicle and/or pass it down) so I've done a few things that hurt resale, but my loss is your gain. I’m going to buy a new Tacoma soon and it’s hard to justify 4 vehicles. I don’t need to sell it, but it's not right to store a machine like this. If anyone can get body work done for cheap (or doesn't care much about that), this is a $8,500+ truck.

Let me know if you have further questions or to request specific pics. I have a box of random items (magnaflow muffler, spark plugs, spare CV, other minor misc stuff) that goes with it. This is an Arizona truck and frame is in excellent condition. Located in West Phoenix area, AZ.

Good morning @Buckoma :pccoffee: nice truck. You want have any trouble selling it. I wouldn’t take a penny less than $7,000 for it. Good luck  I’m planning to buy a new one next year too, I’m keeping my 1st gen for my sons :woot:...they wouldn’t let me sell it anyway!!

Thanks! I always thought I'd keep it forever but my boy barely turned 8 and it would do a lot sitting sitting for 7-8 years waiting for him. I just don't have the time for another side project :( (that said, I'll still benefit emotionally if I end up keeping it lol, lot of sentimental value in this truck)

Hello. I believe things happen for a reason. Why would I find your thread within seconds of playing around on Tacoma World forum.....? I usually troll around on T4R.org, I have a 4Runner. Our son turns 16 next month. Looking at possible vehicles we can provide him. He likes the old school Tacomas. I sure would appreciate it if you can let me know when you are ready to sell (you mention December). We would love to have a chance to give it a very loving home! Your truck is his "dream" truck....Like I said, why would I find your thread?!.... We are in Tempe, glad to see you're local, across town, but still local.....haha.

It's a great budget adventure vehicle. It is appealing to think my Tacoma's second life could bring many years of great new memories for an appreciative "youngster," like it has for me for 18 years! PM me if you'd like to arrange to come check it out in the next month or so.

How has no one picked this up, stick a for sale sign on it and I bet you sell it quick. If this was in a year when I'm closer to a long road trip I'm planning I would pick it up and make it the truck I take.

Or some one buy it and sell me the rear bumper and ucas

I am getting a good amount of interest. I have never "previewed" a vehicle before I actually sell it, so I'm figuring out how to make it work. I would suggest that anyone interested come and check it out asap and (if they're happy and definitely want it) to put a small deposit down to hold it. I do not mind holding it for someone until I actually can sell it if they show they're committed. I will just mark the thread as "on hold" unless it falls through or until it sells. I am currently making arrangements to have several people come take a look at it in the next month or so... let me know if you'd like to check it out as well.

Those people that are coming to town in December, I'll let you know if it's still available beforehand and we'll go from there.

This post as got a lot of attention and one of the first people to contact me has put a deposit down on the Tacoma. Things moved fast. As of now my truck is on hold and spoken for until the final payout transacts in late December. I know a lot of you were really interested and I will definitely keep you in the loop in this falls through for any reason. Thanks again for the interest!
