I went into the dealership in town here (I'm from Williams Lake BC) and started talking about a deal for a 2017 TRD offroad.
He's giving me a great price for my trade but I'm curious to see if you people thing I'm getting a good deal on the truck?
    He's offering me $1,500 off.

    And Go!

Shoot for 10% off MSRP. I think you'd def be doing good with that deal.

I'm not worried about my trade in. He's giving me exactly what I asked for.

    Let me clarify my question-
Is there anybody in western Canada getting more than 1500 off of their 2017 TRD OR MSRP?
I've gone to 3 different dealerships (1 in bc and 2 in AB) and that's the best that I've been able to get. The one in Cochrane wasn't even willing to try and come close, which is to bad because they have the colour I want.
If you did get a better deal, Who and where did you go through?

    MSRP is 43000 CAD.
That's with a block heater, rock deflector and factory undercoat. And delivery and enviro fees.

x$ off MSRP is kinda meaningless on Toyotas. Most dealers and distributers add on a bunch of 0.2cent junk, call it $500 options and drive up (what they call) MSRP. Then discount you a few bucks off what they are telling you is MSRP. Go to toyotas website, add up the Factory options, add the destination charge for your area and ONLY use that as the MSRP price and ignore what the dealers tells you is MSRP. In my area most dealers add about $1500 to what they claim is MSRP with shit that you can add for a few hundred.

If the vehicle in question is 4X4, TRD, SR5. That's not a bad price!

The math works out to be equal between the dealer and the toyota website.

    For salt corrosion.

I should have mentioned they're throwing in winter tires as well for free.

But what is it, and how much? Some of the undercoating is bs priced and some work great for a few years and then cause more issues. In my research I decided to fluid film or something like that on a yearly basis. Had one dealership tell me every vehicle gets it, told him I'm not buying which he responded with, well I'm not going to lose a sale over an undercoating.

The sticker for my TRD off-road was around 41,000 (premium tech package) and got them down to around 36,000 and they paid the first 3 months of payments which equates to 1,500$ USD

Then you've probably got a better price than the majority of this forum, going by some of the other threads. So yes that's a decent deal considering your happy with trade in. But if that was their first offer it makes me think you might do a little better.

That's just it, you need to show them that you don't need that vehicle, you can get something else if you choose.
