Woah... trip down memory lane. I should probably get on that drawing to send him...

 

Happy hump day everyone. Should be an interesting day.

My oldest was coughing a lot last night. Finally fell asleep around 11pm. Woke up at 1, crying a lot and coughing a lot. Brought him to my bed, tried to get him to calm down and take some cough syrup. No dice. Finally convinced him to lay down. Fell asleep, but was coughing all night. Now I feel like shit because I didn't get much sleep. And he's supposed to go on a field trip with daycare today, that I volunteered to chaperone. Was raining all day yesterday, so we'll see how the field trip goes... supposed to go to a pumpkin patch.

OH BOY.

Boots, change of clothes, rain jacket, the whole nine yards. Daycare tried to reschedule for Friday but place said they do it rain or shine, so... We'll see how it goes.

Happy Hump day. out there this morning.

Windy as shit last night, too. I've still got a couple of poplars leaning towards the garage that I haven't hauled back and dropped yet and they were keeping me nervous last night. No power at the house this morning, either.

My buddy and his wife spent the first couple of years shoehorning their progeny and the various accoutrements into an '07 Yaris sedan. They've since upgraded (well, upsized) to a newer Kia Sportage and have a much easier time of it. I let them borrow my truck when they took a camping trip this summer and they couldn't get over how much more room they had, even with just the Supercab instead of the full Supercrew. Apparently the kids couldn't touch each other, which the parents thought was heaven

 

All the rain will keep dust low for dpt2.0

 

Definitely needed it. When I was doing firewood on Sunday it was crazy dusty out; the ground was as dry as talcum powder 6 inches down. At the end of the day I sneezed while I was in the shower and blew 6lbs of dirtboogers out of my nose.

 

NH just issued a special fire warning yesterday that is still in effect even with the 3" of rain we got last night. That is how dry things are, they are still afraid of fires even with flooding going on out there.

 

Problem is too much rain for the ground to soak up, we need all of it, just need it to come slower.

 

The heavy rain we're supposed to get should be fun with all of the leaves on the ground. Only a matter of time before culverts & drains clog up.

 

Already have some flooding in southern mass.

 

All I need to do to get it to rain around here is spend $15 on a laser wash. Works every damn time!

Quite rainy out, very windy last night as well. Thought my alignment was off when driving home last night since my truck kept drifting one way or the other.

 

I'll probably power wash the truck when I get home tonight. The rain is good for softening up all of those damned bug carcasses so they come off easy with a turbo wash, no scrubbing required. Then I'll give it an actual soap wash this weekend and put a final wax and rain-x coat on for the winter.

 

This works great...

 

Or I could spend another $15 on another laser wash if that would help you out.
