Ahhhh. In IN you have to hunt on private land. This state is BS for finding public land.
I will say I'm disapointed with that in this state.

If you are interesed in bow, find a good archery shop and do some shooting. Not sure what part of the state you are in but the big stores like Bass Pro and Cabelas are good for just being able to try out bows. Find a cheapish bow you like and practice practice practice. Once you get hooked you'll want an expensive fancy bow lol. And by then you'll know which one is better for your shooting abilities.

Or stay with the cheaper bow and not buy into the hype of the over inflated prices of the expensive bows! Like the carbon fiber ones, who the fuck is running over there bow with their truck? If you’re that abusive on your equipment somethings wrong !!!! Lol

P.S. yes there is a difference between cheapest and cheaper no doubt

I dont dis anyone using a crossbow. My wife uses one due to multiple shoulder surgeries that caused her to not be able to pull a bow, I use one occasionally. They are deadly accurate and like you said it puts meat in the freezer, not just meat but the top of the line free range low fat meat!!

Many states have BS laws. I use to live in CO and I hate their archery laws. They don't allow anything battery operated. No vandettas no lumenocks etc.

Although I will say this. I don't use mechanical broadheads because of the extreme wounding risk. If that O ring doesn't let up you just hit a deer with a target tip.

I've had outstanding results with F-15 from carbon express. Shoots exactly like a target tip. No need to resight.
    That blade opens an animal.

Montana has some stupid laws too. Like you cant use a game camera. or something about shooting a game animal the same day you have camera pics of it.

    o_O

Guess you just change the date of the cam haha.

A lot of states are out of control with hunting restrictions. And a lot of people don't hunt anymore so it just gets worse.

I dont know how they would even know or how it even makes a difference. Sure if you got a pic of the animal but usually they arent that predictable where if it shows up at 1pm today that it will be there 1pm the next day...its so stupid. Sure it helps to see if an animal or something is in the area but still its not a given it will be back at the exact same time.

I'll let you know later this week as we have the monsoon/cold front coming in for Tuesday/Wendsday.

I leave for work at 4:30 am and take the back roads to work in some deer infested areas.
Last week, it was bucks on the move every early morning, seeing several in a 10 mile commute. They were very active last week...and nocturnal.

Cousin fell out of his stand last night. Broke 11 bones including vertebrae.

    Everyone stay safe out there.

None of us wear harnesses when we are out. I'm the oldest at 26 (in our regular hunting group).

I guess invincibility isn't really a thing. I should know better by now...

I'll be buying my first harness this year.
