After months of research, I finally ordered my setup! Thanks Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road, who was super helpful and answered all of my questions quickly. I went with 5100s/884/deaver AAL and the spacer to prevent taco lean. I can't wait for this stuff to get here!

Now, I just have to figure out a time and place to install the parts - I live in the city and don't have a driveway so I'll may have to do it at a buddy's house. I had a TJ wrangler before the tacoma that I did a lot of work on and swapped suspension, so I'm thinking I'll able to handle this install. But I also have a great mechanic who probably wouldn't charge me too much to do it for me (would probably make my wife feel better too with our baby riding around in it).

Either way, I'll be sure to post pics when it's all done.

It is the 1/4" top plate spacer which some people refer to as the trim spacer or trim packer. Usually in the case of OME since that is what they call their OME95PF5 a trim packer. They all serve the same purpose though.

Edit: Just for clarification the OME trim packer can only be used with the OME struts. The design of the Bilsteins are different so it is not compatible with them. You can run the 1/4" top plate spacer on either the OME's or Bilsteins but with the trim packer there really isn't any need to though.

I was under the impression the trim packer was for OME and it was the small spacer that was part of the coil assembly, and not on top like a top plate spacer.

    Thanks for the correction.

My statement shouldn't have led you to believe I was judging you or any other company that's in CA. I have never bad mouthed a company for where they're located nor have I ever bashed you since I know you're very helpful to members (understanding you're monetarily incentivized to do so). I appreciate all the great info you provide.

I didn't feel insulted in any way just pointing out that one way or another the money can still come back into CA so deterring purchases based on location is moot.

Yes, it is my job to be on here so I can financially gain from answering questions just like any other vendor (I don't work on a commission basis either). Heck some members on here are even financially rewarded by companies for pushing sales to said company. We don't operate like that though, I am the only person on this forum who is compensated by being on here. Any positive feedback or recommendations about our company and products from anyone else is 100% organic. With all of this being said I am an enthusiast as well a vendor and there are literally 100's of questions I have answered just to help others out and I even have recommended other companies aside from our own if I know the person would benefit from going elsewhere.

It's not moot since the vender company pays taxes on it's business which then feeds the system. I get the gist of what you're saying regarding the manufacturers though.

Trust me I am not thrilled about the system either but unfortunately sometimes you have to make sacrifices on location. I am originally from Washington, then moved to Reno, then to Florida, then Vegas, back to WA, and then found myself here. It was supposed to be temporary but I ended up laying down roots here. Once the kiddos are up and out we may pick up and go somewhere better but right now we are stuck and have to survive and pay our dues regardless.

With 5100's/885 which UCA's work well?

The SPC light racing are the best bang for your buck. They're adjustable and you can get loads of caster out of them.

Needing some advice here... I have a 15 trd or dcsb with bilstein 5100s all the way around, ome 885s up front with the billies set to 0 and in the rear, I have a 1.5” aal with a 3 degree shim which prolly added .25” or so... I’m looking to get the front up so it’s just .5” lower than the rear... our trucks look nose high if they’re perfectly level. I had it all perfect where the front was .5” lower than the rear with blocks and spacers but switched it out to go coil and aal lift... here are my measurements now from center hub to bottom of fender...
    Front left 22.5”
    Front right 23.5”
    Rear left 24”
    Rear right 24.5”
It’s been a few thousand miles since I put it all on so it’s settled by now, so I want to get rid of the driver side lean and bring up the front to be .5” lower than the rear so heres my question.... can I put different size spacers on either side? I was looking at the wheelers spacers they have to go above the shock assembly. They offer 1/4” spacer which they say gets you 3/8” of lift, a 3/8” spacer which gets you between 1/2” and 5/8” of lift and a 1/2” spacer which gets 11/16” of lift... would I be able to put say the 1/2” spacer on the drivers side front and say the 1/4” on the passenger front? Also would the drivers side help bring up the rear a bit too? Since the rear is a .5” difference side to side. Not a big deal if it doesn’t. Just curious. I’m also going to get uca. Thanks for any advice

Some people have reported that fixing their radiator bushings fixed their taco lean. If that's the case, then you could have equal spacers on each side.
