I was given king stickers in a swag package a few days ago.

I run Icon - Going to slap them bishes on my 4runner, next to the Icon sticker.

Well I kinda got a great deal. Essentially I got kings for a few hundo off plus a set of blown kings. I’m telling myself it’s a great deal though

In all seriousness, I do think my Icons ride pretty good. A little stiff sometimes and a lot of preload but I haven’t switched to 14” coils. I’ll be surprised and impressed if the Kings ride noticable better

i didnt mind my icons that much, they were stiff, which was weird because the V8 weight. They just wouldnt stay sealed. I also havent been able to calm to bucking rear until the bypasses. With the spare on the back its also helped a bunch. Even with 2" springs and my box i carry with me all the time. the 100lb tent didnt even get noticed on top either.

it could be, it was the main shaft seal that always went for me. Even with brand new shafts it would tear that seal.

It will be interesting the first trip to Pismo with the RTT. But that doesnt seem to stop JD any.

I really want a RTT but the weight up top scares me. It'd be perfect for surf trips to the Outer Banks though

i was initially nervous but once i had it in hand and put it on the roof, it all went away. I need to adjust and up my compression in the bypasses a bit but otherwise its hard to tell its up there and will make my camping trips easier and a lot more affordable for pismo without hotels.

I definitely agree with it making trips easier. They're easier and more comfortable than ground tents, and beats sleeping in the 4Runner too, especially when you're too tall to fit back there.

If the right deal is open locally, I'll grab it. Otherwise, I'll keep compromising.

It's not something I'd bring with me wheeling, just for surf trips and overland type shit. That mean's I need a big one too cause I'll be traveling with buddies on surf trips.

I definitely cant fit in the back, i dont go crawling so i should be able to bring it on most if not all my trips, which makes me want to take even more road trips and find camping near by.

But i only bought it because i got a hell of a deal.

Tried sleeping in the back last time I went to see the fall colors in the mountains. Me+1 was pretty tight. Me alone would still be tight.

A RTT would definitely get me on more road trips too though. But only getting one with a hell of a deal as well

One takes pictures for me and gets great shots and the other gets me board hook ups. I don't mind putting them up. Figure they're going to try and sleep in their whether there's a lot of room or not so much as well get one with room.

And if the tent's not on their for wheeling, weight isn't an issue.
