Out of all the TPMS crap I've dealt with over the years I still liked the system on my BMW the best, no tire sensors to worry about, went through 4 different sets of wheels on that car and never had to worry about tpms valve stems, the car simply used the 4 wheel ABS sensors to monitor the rotational speed of each wheel, when a tire was low/flat it spun faster (smaller diameter) than a full inflated tire and thus would set off a warning light, so simple and work so well.

Will do, I'll swing by Lowe's and get the materials for it! all you will need to buy is some pvc glue to glue the top on!

I've cut a 5/8" round piece of black electrical tape since 2006 When I bot my 1st Taco... This works VERY well if "strategically" placed on the center console.... Only drawback is that you have to go to the trouble of removing it next spring when ya swap the tires....

A roll of tape will last me 134 yrs at this rate, I think....!!:rofl::thumbsup:

Thank you for all your responses. I have been out of town so I haven't had a chance to reply to this post.

I ended up calling around a few other shops in Vermont and found that Vermont Tire and Service had a special tool they had purchased just for cloning Tacoma TPMS. So I was able to get a TPMS installed in each wheel and cloned to my current ID's for a reasonable price.

In the short of things it looks like at least right now the 3rd Gen requires a special tool to clone the ID's so you may need to call around to see what shops may have them.
