Usually their whole attitude and body language toward the other party totally changes.

It has been very obvious in the situations I have observed, but they persisted in thinking they were getting away with it.

 

she either knows, is oblivious or is messing around herself.

 

She's probably surveilling him and building a divorce case.

 

The funny thing is you would never realize this as they are on different floors and never see each other and never leave the building together or come back together....

Actually not that crazy. (If you know the Bureau.) My mom and dad we’re both Agents. They divorced and mom married another agent. I suspect (but will never know or ask) that there was some infidelity on one or both their parts. It’s quite the Peyton Place.

 

Eh. I’m married and do not have the same last name as my husband. As a military retiree (him, Navy) it really screws with their system because of that. I can make hotel reservations under my name, but he usually goes to the desk to check in. Different past names. Gets us some crazy looks.

 

thats different the couple had the same last name, when you saw them around base. Then you see the gal TDY all over some other dude that clearly wasnt her husband with a different last name.

 

I’m going to tell an embarrassing story about my past. Living with Stephanie for almost two years and engaged to be married in two weeks. Go to buy her a piece of jewelry at a local shop and when chatting to the girl behind the counter that I went to school with I end up showing her a picture of my soon to be bride. She says she looks like her brothers girlfriend Stephanie. I can only imagine my face when I heard that as she did the expected “oh no” face.

I was completely clueless that she was out banging another dude while I was at work. Completely wrecked me. Took a sick day and went to the old neighborhood while she’s out during the day and there is her car parked at his parents house. Rang the doorbell, his mother answered and recognized me, let me right in with a hug - I mowed their grass because he was too lazy to do it himself - asking about my family and how I’m doing. Let her know that I was getting married and gave her an invitation to our wedding. She’s confused reading the names and calls out to Stephanie and heads down the hall to the bedrooms. I split and went to her parents house to let them know that it’s over.


Regrettably her father had already put a considerable amount of cash down as non-refundable deposits for the wedding. He was beyond pissed about it and I don’t know if he ever forgave her. She admitted that she had been banging him the whole time. I had no clue.

 

Ouch. That story sucks bro.

 

It is sad that this is more common than most think. I also know firsthand.

That sucks. Good that you didn't marry her, though. Saved on the mess and expense of a divorce, at least.

 

I hate it when I'm at my desk at work and someone stands behind me expecting me to converse with them while I'm wasting time on TW. They just linger over my shoulder and I just ignore them.
