Hey guys, I'm looking for a parts truck for my 97 taco. I need a new dash. Will the Toyota 'other' trucks work for the dash? or will i need a 95.5-97 taco?

third gen 4 runners (1996-2002), but not sure about the center piece of the dash, (radio and A/C controls), as it is a bit different. If you swap the whole dash, you should be okay. Also, some buttons and controls are in different locations, but if you can do the wiring, it should work too.

Not sure about the T100. It is a bigger and different truck, so some parts may fit, some not. Your best bet would be to take measurements...

The early Tundras interior is way different, so I don't think anything will fit. Maybe some small pieces here and there, but that's it

Then there is pre-tacomas (90s toyota trucks), but the dash is different. A whole dash swap may work

I remember reading somewhere that the circuit boards for the dash are different if you have 4x4, ABS, E-locker, etc. So, if your truck has these, but your donor truck doesn't, you'll be missing lights. Or vice versa, you get extra lights.

From A pillar to A pillar, all 1st gens model years '95.5 to '04, are the same dimensionally. Which means the dashes from '98 thru '04 models should fit into the space. However, that does not mean they will mount up correctly. Toyota is known for futzing with stuff like that.

I wasn't talking about the t100 or tundra. I'm talking about the early truck before the tacoma. Like early 90. 90-95 (which aren't the tacomas)
