Check the other threads... I'm not so sure honestly. I know what I saw and what the dealer told me - actually two dealers have confirmed. It has been confirmed by others. But some have doubt, or maybe denial I'm not sure.

So what do you guys think. I can go 4 hours to the dealership that has one (200 miles away) and save myself 1100 dollars, but I need to figure out a way to get there. Probably rent a car, so that cuts into my savings. This one has 125 miles on it.

Or I can wait for my order and get one with 0 on it fresh from the factory.

Should I be concerned about the break in period and those extra 125? Should I just go buy it now and save some money? Price offered is 26,500. Price for order from factory is 27,600.

I should probably save myself a grand.... this is a stupid question, isn't it

Check to see if public transportation can get you there. I went from Allentown, PA to Boston on a greyhound for about 30 bucks. Then, I took a train out to the burbs, dealership picked me up from there.

I'd probably do it again if I had to, but man ... that was a weird experience. Bring a full face mask with cartridges that rate well for organic vapors.

Rent a car...if that's the truck you want and you can save money it sounds like win win.... my wife's last two cars (Acura tsx and BMW 325i) were both service loaners that had about 5500 miles and came with an extended warranty. Both cars were in excellent condition so I would not worry about 125 miles.

That is possibly the most condescending response I've received in my time on TW, topped off with a not so subtle dig on the finish. I hope you find your truck!

Hmm, I'm sorry man, didn't mean it that way, just was discussing this in other threads and was indirectly called a troll or spreading misinformation or something, so I guess I misdirected my comment, you had a very polite question, I can see how you'd take it that way. Oops

Rent a car or take public transportation (and a bicycle, if there isn't a stop close by). Offer $25,500 and settle at $26k. But even at $26,500, that's not a bad deal.

I doubt they are getting rid of the 2.7L 4x4 M/T access cab.

Kinda like the '85 - last year for a straight axle, first year for EFI

I got an order in at the last possible minute that's set to be built next week!! It literally came down to the last day to place an order for a 2017. So glad I didn't wait.
