The K&N didn't really affect my mpg's after installing a year ago. I did remove the air dam, added Bilsteins, KO2 tires and an exhaust. Then my highway mpg's dropped slightly but my city mpg's took a 1-2 mpg hit. I do drive it more aggressively now than I did the first year so that doesn't help mpg. Thought about putting the air dam back on for a couple of tanks to see if it improves. The bad thing is that winter grade gas is coming soon and that always lowers mpg's in all my vehicles. Truth is I like it so much better and it performs so well that mpg's are not a top priority. I still manage 390-410 miles per tank in mixed driving so that is great to me after having a 15 mpg avg F150 and a 16.5 mpg avg 2nd gen Taco.
PS I went with the Gibson exhaust and could not be happier

Well, not a big project by any means but decided to remove the air dam and mud flaps today. Looks good but I feel like it made the 245’s look even smaller if that’s possible lol Can’t wait to get new wheels and bigger tires, just can’t decide if I should get some 265’s for the time being or just wait til I have the cash to throw a lift at it so I can go with 285’s. Patience is not my strong suit! Lol

Its amazing what just a couple things can do to change the look of this truck! Its been almost two weeks since I installed my TacomaGrilles black powder coated grille and I'm loving it still, it looks great! Today, the Taco got a little more work done. Got some Goodyear Duratracs in 265/75/16 installed and the truck looks SO much better than stock!

Also finally got around to applying the tailgate vinyl decals to the tailgate and got a tow hitch recovery add on with a locking pin to keep the local crackheads at bay lol. Overall, the Taco is looking sweet so far!

I like those rims on your truck. Much better than the grey alloys that came on mine.

They do look good, part of me wants to keep them but from the research I’ve done, it looks like they’re 7 inches wide and I would like to go with 8 wide. Plus bronze wheels on a black truck looks bad ass!
