They call them moral patches ....
To keep your moral up you gotta buy More ....
Then your moral gets crushed when you realize you spent way too much money on something that doesn't keep your moral up

AND .... Nobody cares what patches you have on the headliner , or in a junk drawer.

Always thought it was funny as a teen that older people didn't understand young people. Even at 34 I can safely say I don't understand young people lol. But with that there was a pretty big shift in the online lifestyles after I was out of college.

I've been seeing and feeling similar shit these days. Especially down here in Denver so much. I literally can't believe how little people interact with the world around them in favor of their phone.

Lots of swerve and drive technique too down here. Saw like 5 ppl today cross the line and harsh correct back after starting at their phone on i25. Lots of defensive driving lately.

I just figured guys have run out of glass space for their stickers. And everyone knows a sticker doesn't work very well on headliners.

I have to confess, Iused to collect baseball cards when I was a kid.

 

I don't think baseball cards are a comparison to this, but I'm open to hear the correlation as I collected those and garbage pale kids etc. as well

Maybe the morale patch collectors hope that someday their 'collection' will become valuable.

 

I'll give you that. Things have value based on the community that perceives its value. I was looking at more from the participation awards angle that some have mentioned.

But then, I don't think most of those guys are buying patches (rather, they're just posting in WY BS, asking "what's the deal with the patches?") hahahaha

 

some of the most gratifying purchases have been the patches, i mean have you seen the head liner?!?! What was toyota thinking

 

I get it. Collecting is fun.

I still have a collection of die-cast tractors and heavy equipment tucked away in boxes somewhere from my childhood.
