We had a good time this morning. It was a little chilly and windy at 9:30 but the wind died down and it warmed up by about 11. Two pictures of Johnathan on Snoopy's Rock.

No, the wheel isn't in the air. I double checked the original full sized image and it's on the ground.

Thanks. He went up very easily, the tires worked well. The map isn't uploadable, it is from the Garmin SW 24K series. The waypoints and trail are in a GPX format that can be uploaded to a Garmin.

sweet. thanks. I was given a nuvi ? for my bday and havent really messed with it yet except once or twice while driving, which really is life threatening...It even made me promise I wasnt... but maybe there is some use for it after all. (until I actually do another long road trip)

Greg ! : Yessir, just waiting on the leafs still....I am looking forward to checking out F-town. And getting those boxes off my shelf!!!

So I have a stupid story to tell you guys, cause I think I need some moral support. But It will have to mostly have to wait til manana but.... Just so you know its not a dilemma about adopting a 3 legged puppy with mange, or what color of bug visor to get.... or some shit .... it is a truly f- ed up story about my old 91 4x4 Toy, my 16 y/o stepdaughter, Spring break, an (allegedly) blown engine, :tumbleweed:The Kingman AZ PD,a trip to Mojave County JD Facility, a greyhound bus ticket, and a heart broken stepdaddy.(not for the Kid....for the truck!!!):boom::frusty:... well thats actually most of the story, except a few minor details... Retrieving the truck is the dilemma... Could get 350 for the truck , it is being stored by a really good kid.... who wants it ... or I could SPEND (minimum)$350 towing it back and still have a blown Engine ...(allegedly) to deal with.
Yeah its killing me... 91 toy:ballchain: could = 1 set Dakar leaf packs. That just aint right :annoyed:....[IMG]

fyi ferrari did my miata and mustang, they did a great job except they took over 3 hours to tint my miata(2 windows and a back window). I really did not like doing business with them. they would do a little on mine and then go to the other end of their shop and work on another car. They just took to long.

damn Abraham! you still haven't installed yourlift???

As for the 91 toy..that's a sad story my friend..that truck stills had lots of potential. Parting it out could probably get you more than the $350. just my $.02

I have a Garmin 60CSx that I use mainly for hiking, it is not as well suited for auto use because the screen is small. It was very helpful in finding the trail at times yesterday. There are many side trails and it is not always obvious which is the best one to follow.

I'm not familiar with the Nuvi. If you can let it record your track then you can use it to help backtrack if you did get confused on the trail. I would never want to rely on a GPS completely, especially if you have downloaded waypoints and trails from a website. The information may not be correct or valid. With common sense it can be a terrific aid to enhance your outdoor experience.

I'd also recommend using it on known trails first to become familiar with it.

You will probably need to convert the gpx exchange format to the Garmin gdb format. You should have gotten some map software with your Nuvi that will make the conversion.
