What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Made a mess...

 

Bit the bulllet and bought some sound deadener, Closed cell foam, and Mass Loaded Vinyl to finish off my sound deadening project. Saw such a big difference with just the doors that I had to do more!

 

What do the bed stiffeners do?

 

The Tacoma beds or for that matter all newer trucks with the composite beds or aluminum beds are weak and will bow out or in with a weight on them or just over time the bed stiffeners help prevent that and/or pull the bedsides back into square like in my case. The company my buddy works for runs Titans their beds bow inward, some to the point the tailgates won't close. I have seen the ford's aluminum beds bowing outward already as well.

 

Mind blown. LOL

Installed @mattgecko bed light kit on a switch in the bed.

 

I put new wheels on. Idk how I feel about them, they're glossy and I like the matte look. I'll see if they grow on me. Let me know your thoughts.

 

Don’t look very good. Probably look better on my truck. Seriously, I think they look great. If you end up not keeping them, let me know.

 

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what that is, but I did install these myself and Putco gave me all of the included supplies that I would need with these lights in the box. They included in the box the lights, a relay that attaches directly to the light and a anti-flicker module that says may or may not be needed in the instructions. Putco says to try it without the anti-flicker module first, and if it works with no flicker then no need to install those. Either way, it was truly plug and play with no other modifications needed, or anything extra installed.
