Mike's and Modern are both good, but both are busy 24/7. I agree that I'd rather walk a few blocks into the North End for a real Italian bakery.

@Cativelense Here's what I give to the out of towners that would contact me (I used to host travelers at my place for a few years)
It hasn't been updated in a while so the prices might be a bit more.

Things to see/explore
Prudential Building Skywalk – I suggest going just before sunset that way you can check out the city while there is still light out and still see it at night when the lights turn on. If you go to the west side of the building and the weather is clear you can get some amazing shots of the sunset.
Costs 18$ normally 15$ with a student ID
Located inside Copley

Boston Commons – Similar to the Public Garden in New York City, the Commons is the biggest park in Boston and oldest park in the USA. Located in the heart of the city it is home to the famous “Swan Boats” and Frog Pond skating rink. Throughout the day you’ll see anything from street performers to hordes of pigeons being fed by locals. The squirrels will come up and take food out of your hands!

Freedom Trail – It doesn’t cost anything unless you want to go into the museums along the way – even still they aren’t that expensive. It’s pretty much one of the most historical paths in Boston that takes you along 16 historical locations in the city. There are signs along the way that help describe each location which varies from houses, halls, graveyards to a historic naval frigate. It starts in the Boston Common and winds up at the Bunker Hill Monument. It’s a solid 2.4 mile hike plus or minus some exploring if you see something that catches your eye along the way.
Taking a guided tour is possible however you’re stuck with the group and you cannot wander on/off the path to explore other things you encounter along the way

Downtown Crossing – One of the older shopping areas in Boston that is home to department stores to small shops selling everything from clothes to electronics

Newbury Street/Bolyston Street – Two of the major shopping streets in Boston; these streets are home to everything from some of the most expensive name brand stores to smaller independent shops. Close to Bolyston Street is Prudential shopping center
Prudential Shopping center – similar to Downtown crossing however mostly indoors. Carries a full line of name brand stores and restaurants.

Fenway Park – Home to the Boston Red Sox baseball team; Fenway is one of the historic landmarks in Boston, surrounded by restaurants and bars its located near the inner city part of Boston University.

Boston Harbor / Seaport District – One of the more recently upgraded areas the Seaport District which is south of the main harbor near South Boston. Home to lots of higher end seafood restaurants and bars.
Walking along the seaport district towards the city there’s a path that follows along the inner mouth of the Harbor all the way up to Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park

Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market – You’ll encounter this along the Freedom trail, however it only takes you past it. I highly suggest stopping into Quincy market and checking out all the local restaurants and souvenir stores. If you keep walking East you’ll encounter Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, from there you can walk along the waterfront down towards the Seaport District.

Trinity Church and The Boston Public Library – The Trinity Church in itself is a spectacle for the eyes, built in the early 1700’s it is a very good example of Romanesque architecture in Boston. The Boston Public Library is located directly in front of the Trinity Church, you can go in and explore all the little rooms and even the courtyard in the middle. Do silent your phones when you enter!

Museum of Fine Arts – 465 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA – Being the fourth largest art museum in the US it has over 450,000 pieces of art. It’s located next to Northeastern University.
Adults – 25$ / Student ID is 23$

Castle Island / Castle Island Beach - Located in South Boston, Castle Island was one of the early 1700’s forts defending Boston Harbor. There’s a nice walkway that spans the beach and around the castle. During the day there are tours of the castle however they are fairly long if you’re on a time constraint
Located at 2010 Day Boulevard, South Boston, ma

Harvard University / Harvard Square – One of the most famous colleges in the world; Harvard University is home to some of the brightest minds. You can walk through the campus and stop in at The COOP in Harvard Square just outside the main campus area to buy all the Harvard Swag you could ever want.

Na he says it cranks so its either spark or fuel. And judging by the pics, bad fuel isnt out of the question

Hmm I wonder how much a uhaul trailer is, give him 500 bucks get it home, change the fuel, check the plugs if all else fails, sell it to you. Middleboro is like 20mins from my house lol
