I'm in the market for a set of bolt on sliders and wanted to know if and why people had an opinion on one set vs another. I understand some are brand loyal but really I'm looking for input on what I should be looking for in a set. I understand the difference between DOM and HREW, and kickout vs none but I don't know what I should be looking for in regards to construction, mounting, strength etc. Any input would be appreciated!

Any of the well-known names should be good. I am looking for a step slider myself, and will probably go with Shrockworks. But any of the others, CBI, Demello, etc. would do just fine as well.

Now, if I were doing some hard core off-roading, I would get Slee sliders. Little more expensive, but for me, would be worth it.

First find out if any are manufactured near you. My decision was 100% made by the fact that BAMF was close by and I went and picked them up.

agreed, @Mobtown Offroad makes the best stuff. I have there sliders and skids. As Joe said, they wrap around the frame. I have the kickout. Keeps things from hitting the sides of the bed and is a nice step to jump back there. Heavy, quality product and one of the more affordable options.

I went with SOS Concepts, I believe they are operating out of NC. Mine are on the truck for delivery so I don't have anything to review yet, but what I wanted was something that supported the full weight of the truck and bolted on with no drilling.

This pic is from a while back when I first had them installed. They have since saved my doors on multiple occasions.

Damn, looks like I just missed the @Mobtown Offroad free shipping offer too. I can't remember who it was but wasn't there a post about a free hi lift jack with purchase? I can't find the thread.

OP this guy has the right idea, SOS Concepts is (reasonably) close to you if your in FL. @EddyRRT makes great sliders. He made mine at 0 degrees and with fill plates so they double as steps for the wife and dogs. I used them to load my bike on to my roof rack too.

Bought a pair of Shrockwork sliders(4 month wait time) for my 2015 TRD OR and took them off after I sold it. I call Shrockworks and they said no way they will fit the new Tacomas. Long story short they fit perfectly on the 2017 TRD OR

I picked-up some Shrockworks off craigslist. They are bolt-on but require 4 holes to be drilled into frame. A couple hours to install and had to recruit a helper with a very small forearm.
