My first Tacoma, Toyota, and brand new vehicle ever.

Windows tinted. AVS Inchannel vents. Toyo Open Country MT. So far those are the only changes to the outside. I also did the AC condenser drain tube mod because I had an issue like that in my 97 12v and never again.

I’ve searched through the SCS threads and this one; does anyone have the gunmetal SR8s on their SSM?? I’ve seen the Ray10s but I can’t decide between the two...

Here is what I got when I bought the truck, top pic. 2 smart key fobs with emergency key inside and one un-chipped full size key. I took the full size key to the local locksmith who tested it for the chip and it came back as un-chipped!

I flipped the key over for privacy concerns in the pic. The cut is very similar to the last pic posted. This full size key mimics the emergency key inside the smart key fobs which is cut the same.

The keys open the truck drivers door in the event the smart key fails, locks and unlocks the glove box and locks and unlocks the tailgate.

I did find on eBay a tailgate lock set that has 2 keys and the lock cylinder for 155. This seller is high on his prices, but one should get a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about.

I could go this route and be done with the process, but I was trying to keep the keys all keyed alike.

    Thoughts?

Those sport wheels look good. You got me thinking about doing mine the same. What tires and lift if any? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay to get the wheels done?

4” Spindle Lift, don’t waiste your time or money on a spacer!!

    285.70.17 BFG K02

And there about $100 - $125 per wheel to get power coated, depending on where you go.

Buy yourself a “pop-lock” for your tailgate. It’s around 80-100 dollars. Install and your tailgate will work with “both” smart fobs. Then you’ll won’t have to change keys. Plus in an emergency. You can use your spare key or the hidden key.

I do this with guns. I become a proffesional photographer wifh my guns. I'm always at my bros (ex-millitary) "playing with toys" my wife says. My reply is "when would be robber breaks in our house one night I promise you won't mind tripping over a few guns laying strategically around the house then!" Screenshot_20170918-095217.jpg
