Well tuff stuff replied and said no to GB.

 

If Smittybuilt wants to do one i want in on it. I got tent fever now!

 

I asked him about the xl which has overhand around ladder and bigger floor, he said their out of stock but website shows 1100, that is auto anything cost, id be curious what both of these are straight from smitty bilt though. Cut out the middle man so they dont need to make their profit.

 

Please be advised that at this time Smittybilt does not offer an annex for the XL. The annex for the smaller model does not enclose the ladder either. Just an FYI.

 

I sent a PM to a LC friend from Ih8Mud, Joel Brown (Kling-on on Mud), who works for 4Wheel Parts in San Antonio. I asked him about a group buy on Smittybilt tents. He said he can look into it. Funny thing is, yours was the only payment I refunded that was in a pending status. It never actually posted on my side.

 

Oh it was totally paypals fault I called them on Tuesday before I had posted on here. I was just letting you guys know.

 

I will also not be participating anymore on this GB. Thank you for all the hard work @docloco & @Mrguitarguy01 for all you have done. I really wish it would have worked out better. Stuff like this makes it hard for anyone to want to run a GB.

They screwed so many people, it’s not even funny. They also made the mistake of sending me an email for me to participate in a survey to see what my satisfaction was for them. They got all zeros.

Just as a heads up, I've already filled in a few people on what pricing I can offer for the Smittybilt RTT. I am working with our brand manager who handles Smittybilt, he's telling me we're currently at the deepest discount level with them for their RTT. Nonetheless he is going to push and see if there's a certain quantity we would have to order to receive any extra price break. It's a slim chance, but trying my best to bring our price down which in turn brings your price down! Hopefully will have an answer next week. (there's currently 55 tents in stock and ready to ship).
If that works out, @Mrguitarguy01 or @docloco you're both welcome to take point if you like this option or continue pursuing other options.

 

I think its safe to say this thread is done. The only way this was going to happen was if people were willing to take the risk of a direct deposit (risking an initial 30% to get the materials, not full amount), but I totally understand people wanted security, and I'm not pushing for this method.

I strongly recommend someone take charge, pick a company, and see what the best price you can get is. I would expect everyone is going to still pay minimum ~$800 not including annex.

It was a good ride guys, thanks for those who helped keep the thread on point, offered suggestions, helped out with organization. A big shout out to @docloco @4Running Daily for helping expand this and offered transport.

I havnt received any PM's about money NOT being refunded so I think its safe to say everything is good. Funny enough my account is still locked. Fuck Paypal.
