I made a little progress on the bike today and rearranged the workspace to keep everything organized. One thing I should have done was label all the bolts I was removing. Putting it back together is going to be a trial and error process. Tomorrow I’m going to crack open the motor and see what’s inside. From what I can tell so far I don’t think it was ever ridden all that much. I have my fingers crossed that it’s just going to be a matter of replacing all the gaskets, seals, cables, and wipers. Then it should be just like it’s 1978 again.

So did a little city driving yesterday and a little highway driving today.
City: Seems to have a little more get up and go around 2200-2500rpm while getting up to like 40mph or so. Has a nice little whistle while giving it some gas. Responsiveness off stop seems better too.
Highway: Not too much of a difference maybe speeds up a bit quicker but sounds good with the whistle when passing people.

Will continue to monitor for differences. If no improvements, going back to stock so I can put my engine cover back on.
