2005-11 Airbags are different from the 2012-15.

I sourced all the necessary parts to make the swap. The swap will happen soon after some paint work. I'm still checking to see if I can remove the black stitching and replace it with red stitching. I have it off and might as well go all the way with it. It would match my leather interior with red stitching.

Good job. Looks nice. What parts exactly? Steering wheel, steering wheel cover, and airbag (reusable? Or needs the newer airbag as well?) Am i missing anything else?

You need steering wheel, air bag and cover. If you don't have controls and want to have them then you'll need a new spiral cable, and steering wheel bolt covers. If you don't need/want steering wheel controls then your stock spiral cable will work

For those who wanna know. I put a 2017 Tacoma one in my 99. Bolts up and fits like a glove. Gonna work on getting horn and cruise control working.

What did you have to do to get all of the steering controls working though?

I have an 09, with radio controls.... What do i need to swap to a newer ( 12-15 ) wheel? Is the airbag plug n play, all other controls/wiring plug n play?
