I got a set of Husky liner Xact fit contour mats today from the GB on here. Very, very nice. The fit is perfect.

 

Think I'm gonna set up another saltwater tank soon. Debating what direction I want to go with it.

 

Do a natural local tank fill it with striper and bottom fish there’s some awesome local fish and it makes the take real cheap to maintain

 

Too small for that. It's only a 30 or 35 gallon tank. I forget. Debating on doing a seahorse tank, reef tank, or fish/invert only tank.

 

That would still be plenty for like toad fish and dog fish maybe a few baby stripper? I really like the local tanks

 

Problem with baby anything is the get big lol. It's a taller tank than long which is why I wanted it. Good for seahorses. Only issue with that is if I go away I'm kinda screwed

 

Yeah building tanks is pretty fun tall tanks are cool for coral

 

Driverside wheel bearing is going again... just had it done like 20k ago with an OEM unit.. Going with a prebuilt setup this time from a member on here. I used one of his on the passengerside so hopefully this one will last longer than last time.

Also still have a bad bearing on the pulley system - it sounds horrible now that the standard whine is gone. I'll address that tomorrow. I just can't win with this truck...

 

I think the 3G is a fine base. It actually sits an inch higher in the front that the 2G, at least in the OR. I haven't changed this one much and I actually like it in stock form. I'll personalize as time wears on.

My 2G pinged without running 93 so using 87 is nice for the wallet. Plus this one I can shift myself so I don't have to worry about the TC bs the last one had.

 

I have replaced both front wheel bearings with pre-built ones from Bamatoy, and one has been on my truck for over 40,000 miles, and they have held up very well!

 

I do mine the old fashion way, get moog bearings (NSK bearings, same as factory as far as i know) and press them. The moog came with a 3 year warranty so it worked out when i had to do them a second time within that 3 year period. I beat my wheel bearings though so I'm not surprised

 

I wish I had a press, I would have done the same as you! But I needed to drive my truck, so I had to go the more expensive route (but I am glad the replacement bearings are still going strong).

 

Any automotive shops or automotive machinr shops near you? I know carquest in town charges $40 a hub for pressing

 

Quite a few, just a few miles from my house, and I know they would have done it for a good price and quick turn around. Sadly, CarQuest is no longer in RI (got bought by Advance Auto, which really sucked!).

Yeah, the one down the road from me was the same way, but one day we go in to buy parts, and they say they are being bought! It was a sad day, especially because they actually knew what they were talking about, and would give us a good discout.

 

Damn that's crazy! Advance auto seems to be the slowest out of the 4 places to get auto parts in town here
