I just bought a 2013 a few days ago. It’s a 2wd base model regular cab with stock size 15 wheels. Already have a question. I saw several posts about size 16 and 17 wheels but nothing for the 15s. Anyone have a base model Tacoma regular cab with larger tires on it? The Toyota website shows I could fit a 265/75/15 but when I stopped at a local tire shop today to get some prices, the guy there said that a tire that size would rub and wouldn’t fit and the largest I could go was a 235 or 245. Has anyone put a 265/75 on the 15 wheels? Did you experience any rubbing? Also will this size jump in tire drastically affect the gas mileage or cause any added strain on the suspension?

    You can’t fit a 265 on a 5 lug truck stock.

Check out the 5 lug forum for specific info on your configuration.

I did, thanks for the link to that specific area. Tried searching for largest tire size for 5 lug as well on the forums. Found a guy that asked the same question a while back and never got an answer.

Thanks. Didn’t see that one. Currently doing this from a phone though so the mobile version isn’t quite as friendly as the website. Appreciate the help.

Is it a largest tire size on a 5 lug calculator now?

    Your link is a 265 to a 285. The 265 with a 16” wheel and the 285 with a 17” wheel - the OP has a 15” wheel and can’t fit 285s, period. Can’t fit 265s without significant mods.

So.. 5 lug? No. Not at all.
