So, I know it is consdiered wasteful to buy the TRD Pro then turn around and lift it. However.... I know there are a lot of people that can leave things alone and have done exactly this.

My question is if any TRD Pro owners out there have done any lifts and sold their original fox coilovers. If so, were they easy to sell and did they bring a decent price?

Some sell for crazy money. Some sell for $1200 for front and rear.

Most are somewhere in the middle. Start high.

Nice, I was asking because if someone were to buy the TRD Pro because they like the colors or badging and such and just kept it stock for a year or so and got some use out of the parts then later upgraded. If they could recover at least some of the money spent.

If this is the plan, I'd wait for the 2018s as there is rumor of Toyota releasing Pro colors to there other Trim levels.

For sure. But I don’t know what value differential there would be with year old stuff.

The stuff I’ve seen sold here has been new or near new, I think one guy sold his on Craigslist for.. well, Craigslist money, and another guy struggled for a number of weeks to get much for them here. Basically what an OME setup would cost IIRC.

The only real attraction to those parts are they’re OEM, and they are Fox. Compared to other offerings that don’t say Toyota on them, they’re generally regarded as underperforming and overpriced. So, market really isn’t that strong for them. Some guys like OEM stuff though.

Generally speaking, OEM parts are low value here. On Craigslist, different story - sometimes.

That might be just the right solution. I think the TRD Pro grill is available also. I have an FJ and I love the "Toyota" in front instead of just an ellipses.

Yeah the Toyota lettering is just so iconic!
