Still debating on wether to comment now or after the next dyno day. What I can say is this thing is FUN! The driveability of this truck is night and day.

How do you decode a PID?

You don't have to decode the PIDs with OBD Fusion - you just pay $9.99 for the PID pack for the model year you have and then it unlocks all of them for you. You just select "engine" for example then you can see ignition timing, fuel trims, lamda, O2 sensors, MAF, temperatures, and the list goes on and on

The engine computer seems to always try to adjust for driving style but it does not work well. I mostly do local driving on roads with a max 55 mph speed limit. Throttle response is quite good most of the time and fuel economy is about 20 to 22 mpg. But if I take a short drive on the interstate (at 70 mph) fuel economy drops to 15 to 16 mpg. Taking a (rare) long interstate drive of 200 miles or so, the interstate economy goes up to about 20 to 21 mpg, but when the trip is over, local driving economy is down, and throttle response is not nearly as good as it was. It takes about a week for local driving to get back to normal. How does this computer learning function interact with the 1.03 tune? Will the 1.03 tune reduce the efforts of the computer to “learn” my driving habits?

Interesting - what you're describing sounds like a common A/T complaint. Haven't heard a lot of complaints about learning from M/T owners... really interested to hear feedback. On my A/T I have had this issue and it's not nearly as pronounced with the tune. My problem is the inverse - I HAVE to drive in stop and go traffic during the week a lot and live in the city so mostly <45 mph speeds and a lot of the time much slower. Weekends heading out on the interstate I regularly do 350mi roundtrip days to paddle and the truck historically crapped itself trying to adjust to interstate driving and when I got back to the city it would drive awesome for a few days before "learning" that I like to slowly move in stop and go traffic... haha. Still no help for the M/T perspective though

I haven't felt any learning or adaption in my MT, but I only have 1,350mi on it?

pretty sure a few if not all of the 04B10 guys seemed to lose the tune's goodness as it "learned" although no report has been totally clear and we haven't heard am answer yet. but true that i also haven't seen that complaint from 04B12 users, not sure about 04B11.

04B10 guy here, that's what happened to me with 1.02B. Tried flashing it again, and it did the same thing again. Moderate to heavy load power delivery became inconsistent, and throttle went mushy - although not nearly as mushy as stock.

M/T equipped trucks seem to learn as well, but the weird thing is 1.01b actually gets smoother with time..

Mat will sort this out for all of us once 1.03 is tested/perfected.

Edit: I've not heard a single M/T guy complain about 1.02C though..

1.01B was good. It smoothed out over time. 1.02B felt horrible on my truck. 1.02c is god send for it. My truck is 04B12

Tell us now...The 3rd gear dyno numbers were weak/weird...So "real" driving is all non-first adapters have to go bye...

It finally cooled down enough to run windows down/AC off here in FL today. Still running a Pedal Commander, but other than that 1.02C is lots of fun! Easy to bark second pretty hard, and if I wasn't afraid of getting arrested I think parking lot doughnuts are actually possible.

Excellent throttle response, barely have my toe in it to keep up with traffic. Nice. Can't wait for the MT tune.

Yeah apparently I didn't make @OVTune's nice list so I didn't get 1.02C either! Lol

Not complaining, just saying 1.02c dropped weeks ago so at this point I think I got left out of that one. I'm looking for 1.03 now :goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy:
