I'm thinking about putting a turbo on my 4Runner......thoughts?

HAHA just trying to help! Yes mine is the 4.0....no, I cant afford a turbo, but figured that would produce at least more than one reply to your cause.

I mean I'm about $3700 in mine and that is counting some stuff I didn't need or bought the wrong stuff, so if you did it right the first time (this is also assuming all new stuff too so you might find deals on used stuff to save even more) you could be in for just over $3k and double your hp

 

I will be replacing my suspension before any shenanigans like that!

was the 08 t4r 4.0 rated the same power as the taco? it seems like the "more powerful" one that's like 270 or what ever has slightly different something and may not handle boost the same, but I'm no expert just a good looking guy who wanted to put a turbo on his truck

 

HAHA I wish man! I'm not @stronghammer though. I'm ballin on a budget with my ride so I don't need anything quite that extravagant for my future needs. I have been looking at either the Toytec Boss system or stick with 5100 Billies. I have the damn XREAS on mine now that is about to shit the bed so I will prolly be replacing it sooner than I need so the cheaper Billies will prolly be my choice.

 

Yea, I wanna say the gearing setup on the T4R is a little different

 

I did the Bilstein 5100s with Eibach springs and went ahead and bought the Total Chaos UCAs. Turned out to be a nice setup for everything I've done so far. I did that on a college budget back in the day. I still have no complaints with it but you can't beat the performance or bling factor of a good set of coilovers.

 

its a crappy pic, but I helped a friend of mine put some 5100's with the eibach coils on his 06 t4r and he is pretty happy with it, he just put some 285's on I think too

 

He said they run a little bit but meh

 

When I installed mine it was about the furthest thing from working in a garage like that. Lol. I was working with a flashlight in my mouth on a slanted driveway in the middle of the night.

 

Yea I agree there. We just found out we have a kid on the way so my 4Runner budget is now a baby budget, haha. I will prolly just stick with LC UCAs for my needs. I have heard a lot of good things about them for T4Rs and not to mention they are on the lighter end of the budget as well so that helps me out.

 

we did the same on my buddy's 1st gen the same day at his shop so it was pretty convenient. I had done mine in the yard, and so I kinda knew what was going on and then they were a couple extra set of hands

 

Yeah, and the dark matter fields affecting metas and the particle accelerator and electron hatch opening cancelling out all the quantum stuff that was going on for a little while. It didn’t even make sense

 

yeah it got kinda bonky when E2 wells was like "let it explode" and then they were like yeah it will stop her powers, but somehow barry was still able to use his I assume, and how big of a risk was that, cuz you know that's kinda how all of the first metas were made... they also seem to figure out, at least part of, the thinkers plan very early in the season; this is the smartest mind in the universe and we are 3 episodes in and they are all like, well, looks like there are 10 more of these guys we need to look out for, samaroid. I did see a theory that eobard thorn is actually barry right now and that is why he seems so different but I watched pagey's video and he pretty much shuts that theory down, but it would be cool to see

 

I don’t think Barry would’ve lost his powers because he’s connected to the speed force, however I’m not sure why she did. No way eobard thorn is Barry right now, for one he’s dead... and Barry is acting like himself anyways. I’m curious where the thinker came from and what he had to do with the dark matter on the bus
