I'm new here and may not know what I'm talking about but here is how I understand things...
A locker is either electric or pneumatic and you'll need to wire a switch to urn it off and on. A locker isn't the same as positrac because a positrac system fits in your axle. It allows wheels to turn independantly for easy driving and turnng on pavement but will lock wheels together if it detects wheelspin.
Locker kits are close to $1k while positrac is around $300
somebody correct me if I'm wrong

Ya, for the most part, you nailed it.

Either option you choose will require you to change out the carrier in the pumpkin of the rearend. Not a job for the average Joe. ARB makes a nice locker that works off air pressure. You need an air pump with it.....around $1K+, not installed.

You only need an ARB if you plan to do serious rock climbing....and with a 2 wheeler, that aint going to happen :) ...

Go buy a posi setup and have it installed....or better yet, get a 4x4.
