I think it looks more like a Honda Pilot.

I parked next to a Ridgeline last weekend. When I saw the guy drive away, I honestly felt sorry for him. He thought he was driving a truck. I'm not trying to sound all high and mighty, and I'm actually a Honda fan, but man that RL is one ugly truck.

I see 3 main themes on my quick read through this thread.

    1. Humor (some pretty funny stuff).
    2. Debate about relative "manliness".
    3. Comparison of technical aspects.

Someone along the line mentioned something about an "emotional attachment" to a car. That's a thing. I'll speak to that.

Me: 6'2" 240#, beefy, intelligent, secure.

I really, really like my wife's Oddessey minivan. It's awesome. Hauls kids great, hauls crap great. Rides awesome. Great for long trips. Even sweet for camping once in a while with the seats pulled out. I don't give a crap what I "look like" driving around in it. It's a tremendously versatile, well technically appointed, very comfortable vehicle.

I will walk out to get in my Tacoma this morning to go to work and (once again) I'll get a little smile on my face along with that little thrill of excitement. This is MY truck! Jumping into my seat (with my neck bent over of course, so I don't decapitate myself), I'll sit back for a second in the seat and take in the truck smell, push in the clutch and fire up the engine. Shit. I don't know where to end this now. I'm quite certain no one wants to read about my whole drive to work...

Anyway, suffice it to say: I LOVE this truck! I get a thrill every time I drive it. I enjoy all my little appointments and mods and storage choices. I love all of its buttons and styling and stupid seats that aren't electric in a 40k rig. I love its lack of a sunroof. I love how it rumbles and bumps down the road. I'm passionate about the damn thing.

As useful as it is, and as much as I like using my wife's minivan, that joy just isn't there.

Get the one that gives you a little thrill every time you get into it. (And hey, maybe that's the Ridgeline)

To me,the Ridgeline is neither fish nor foul...the real truck makers are happy every day that Honda didn't.

    Bright stuff
I think you have to look no further than the dealer sales Brochures that are available, Which one shows their Truck hauling Dirt bikes and buddies out to the dunes and having fun? Which ones shows taking their S/O to the Opera ?

Both good brands, but my neighbor doesn't even use his Ridgeline for Home Depot runs, he just rents their truck for $17.95 hour, matter of fact, I'm not sure what his does with it other than take it to the office.
