    Works great! Pretty easy to install even for a noob like myself. Thanks all the helpful install comments! The having to get a new 15a fuse and how to get that fuse box cover off would have stumped the shit out of me.

    it stumped me that's why i wired it to the lighter plus NAPA here on maui did not have a fuse that fit. maybe in the 2 edition OP can enclose 1 wire tap then there would be two options for running the power.

    like I said, I have a huge bag of wire taps for the purpose of including 1 with each mod for the option of tapping behind the CIG lighter...but thought it would confuse people. I know for next time now...

    op..i think you should pitch this mod to the Spike TV show Power Nation 'Truck Tec". you could make a you tube video explaining why it is a benefit for the 3rd gen Tacoma and then in the video show the install and result and send it to them. never know this would be a great 'short' tec spot on their show maybe they will film you explaining and doing the install. never know. i watch that show all the time and this would fit right in.
