I’m looking to buy a rear plate bumper if I can find one, or just an OEM rear for 05-15. I got rear ended and I’m trying to be cheap with rear so I can do Dakar’s and rear shocks too. All on progressives dime.

I'd buy it for $1000 if it was local. Either fix it up and have a beater or part it out and make some money on it. Says OBO so I'd say hit him low and see if he bites.
Definitely ask if the lower ball joints have been done. This is the 4Runner's fatal flaw. If they haven't been, I'd consider doing them upon purchase. That 5VZ is a workhorse though, especially if it's been well maintained.

Take a look at It's a buyers guide on T4R, one of the better 4Runner forums. It'll give you the ins and outs per year and a list of things to look at.

They have a little bit of a frame rot issue but not as severely as tacomas. Being a northeast vehicle, there's no telling though.

 

he said the frame was pretty good, he got it in 2013 and it was garaged until then. but i'm sure he hasn't done much of the maintenance

 

No harm in checking it out at least. The ad makes it seem like he doesn't really care about it took much so if you have the extra cash laying around, why not. 4wd, no locker unfortunately, but that thing will keep running for you. Winter beater at the least

$157 for the black primer bumper cover, the chrome is more $$$. That is what I did for mine and the I had it line-x'd.

 

Not sure what I need yet. The cover definitely, and I know the brackets and bent on driver side. I need to take it off to see what else is messed up. Stock hitch may be bent too.

Yea that was for sale for a while. They were asking way too much, I guess they found out the used market for shells isn’t very good. Good pickup it looks like a nice cap.
