Does anyone know if there are replacement side windows that open (like the old wing windows) for 2016 Tacoma access cab?

    +1

It took me a little while to figure out that they don't open at all.

I think there would be a lot of people interested in buying these if they were made.

2nd that I would be a buyer. Was a bit surprised to see they were not there.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Toyota probably would have them, except for the fact that the AC's are noisey enough even with fixed windows--lord knows how bad it would be with openers.
Just my opinion as I have a AC -- and I know darn well it is louder than a full cab!
The extra air flow would be nice though.

Just curious as I only test drove ACs, when do you think it is loud? With all the windows closed, it is about as quiet as our Forester except for the motor. Engine sounds are usually fine with me unless it is a buzzy I4.

I usually drive around with the slider open if possible. There is noise there, but mostly exhaust.

It is loud with the door windows open on the highway, but rolling them up to ear level seems okay.

I will get a lot of wind blast, even around town with the door windows down and the slider closed. That is where I think the rear door windows would really help.

How new is your Forester? My BIL has a 15 forester and his is quieter than my Taco --but not near as quiet as our 15 Outback Limited. I drove both AC's and Full cabs -- trust me the AC's are louder, but I would still prefer my AC.
Enjoy yours -- I enjoy mine!

    Ours is a 2014.

Definitely like the AC better. Fits in the garage with the 6ft bed and enough back seat room when it is needed.

I might try to get some sound level readings just for fun.

Just to note that I rarely listen to music unless on a long drive. I like listening to the mechanical sounds.

I actually like the radio or music from some source -- I only get to listen to it when the wife is not with me -- she has a on-going issue with a concussion that has led to migranes (thanks to a incompetent nurse) --so no music in the truck. I know the noises in my truck!! (sadly)

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully the migraines lessen over time.
