East Renton Highlands. Literally 2 minutes due north of Renton Fish & Game Club.

 

I might have to take you up on that, ive gone way over budget this month on gun stuff so I’ll probably have to wait until tax return time. In the meantime, are the Omegas a good can? I’ve been looking at them because they are light. I’d be running primarily 556 out of it and I’d eventually get my 7mm mag threaded and build a 300 BO

The Omega is a great can, but there are always pros/cons with everything. My biggest problem with them has been the ASR mount sticking to flash hiders and/or brakes. It gets stuck so tightly, that when you try to separate the two, the ASR mount usually unscrews from the suppressor body before the bond with the FH breaks. A little bit of locktite on the ASR mount seems to fix it. It's a pretty common complaint, another friend with one had the same issue. But SilencerCo has also really stood behind their products, and getting any issue fixed is zero problem.

Otherwise, the combination of size, weight and performance still have not been beat in my opinion. Plus there are a ton of options for it (end caps, mounts, etc.) Hell, even Dead Air makes a mount for the Omega so that you can use the Dead Air keymounts! That might fix the ASR mount issue, but the incremental cost is pretty high (the Dead Air mount, plus flash hiders or brakes, quickly add up.)

I always forget he is a ffl till we talk guns lol. I need a new dealer since mine moved to Spokane. Then again since I haven't had a ffl I like I've been putting the C&R to good use instead

I need to buy an AR or something like it before i head to Cali in 2019... Too bad they have stupid laws there...

 

Why would you decide to move to that state?

I wouldn’t bother with an AR or any semi auto if moving to CA.
